I was originally quite optimistic with the new technical director from man city and the commercial director coming in from Villa.

If they got any sense at all they will soon leave once they see how rudkin and the CEO work

Lunatics running the asylum

These are all piddly, ancillary things. Our finances are a cataclysmically bad, massive headcount, two training grounds, losing money hand over fist and we're going to have to restructure and renegotiate almost EVERYTHING, otherwise we'll be insolvent in 12 months. Instead we've promoted one of the most culpable people to be CEO. It's like making Peter Sutcliffe Head of HR.

My one bit of optimism for this is that we don't actually, really know how much blame is on Davies.

For all we know he could have spent the last five years screaming in to the void in outrage at how much Rudkin was allowed to spend.

He could have budgeted for X and seen Top sign off on Y because Rudkin told him it was necessary. We've got no real idea how the club has been run, other than collectively it's been dreadful.

I'd 100% love a clean slate with Glover, Rudkin and Davies all replaced by people with a proven track record. Making up a tier of management just to give Rudkin a cushy job and keep him around for sentiment sakes is especially egregious.

But, eh, this is probably about the best we were getting with Top still here and at least Mccarron looks promising.

****ing all miserable though isn't it.

Awful timing. These type of shenanigans need to wait until we know which league we're in next season.

It makes no sense to do this now. Madness.

We can protest all we want, which I back and did turn up for pre match against Norwich, but it shows Rudkin and co aren't going anywhere until King Power have gone (which I worry will honestly never happen). Rudkin must be untouchable.

It just sounds like exactly how we operate now. With MacCarron being a senior analyst to help the current processes they already have in place with Rudkin the one still calling the shots. If we tweak a few things it will work better.

Similar was said about Whelan wasn’t it when people suggested we got rid of the wrong one, but I still maintain that if you are in a position at work which is being undermined by the senior leaders and this is going to look like you’ve made multiple serious errors, you would probably look elsewhere.

Jon Rudkin to lead the Club’s football operation as Chief Football Officer

This is the football equivalent of promoting Kwasi Kwarteng to Prime Minister.

The finances are a complete mess even if you disregard that he's not responsible for any sporting decisions. We still have a gigantic headcount, we still have too many stewards, we've still f ucked about with clappers, we still have two training grounds. Nobody should be going from a mid management position like financial controller to CEO in 3 years. There is nothing to suggest we have gotten our house in order with the operational, no-footballing finances apart from spectacularly badly managed attempt to change staff payment dates, even that seemed like a KP overlord directive.

Whether he's culpable or not it's completely wrong that somebody with no turnaround experience, or in fact any experience of being a CEO is tasked with managing the impending financial meltdown. It smacks of another KP in-house appointment because he knows too much. It's the equivalent of appointing Jannik Vestergaard as the manager.

More protests needed.

And needs to focus on Rudkin again as well as KP, so our dippy owner understands he has not conned anyone with this ‘strategic’ change, same lunatics still running the asylum.

I think that basically reads that McCarron is merely going to run (and improve hopefully) sporting departments and Rudkin is still going to make the decisions. Lipstick on a pig job.

It's one thing people who are very defensive of the ownership can't get their heads around. Most of them want Rudkin gone, but they need to realise that Rudkin will be here for as long Aiyawatt is chairman. The only way that Rudkin goes is if the club changes hands.
