In 2008 we got Pearson from a bottom half Championship club so that could be an indicator of where the appointment could be.

Is there anyone in that area that would be worth a punt?

Pearson got sacked by Southampton though, we didn’t just take him from there.

I do reckon they'll want to go for Chris Davies, as I think the board will think he's got Brum out of the league and will be sacked by Brum

I'm not so sure he's the right man.

I think they'll go for Davies too

Shit, it's Russell Martin then...

Not who we wanted really.

I doubt it. But it will show the club haven't learnt anything and haven't got the will to change.

We need a fresh break and a new direction. Possession football is dead.

But like I say, I doubt he'd come, it'll beneath him.

Yeah.

Id say got as in we appointed him. Knew he was dismissed.

Highly unlikely we get something as magical as that now.

Chris Davies will be absolutely hated by our fans. His personality is awful and can tell he’s been around Rodgers

And he’ll bring Ben Petty with him - heartbreaking.

Dean Smith is returning i think, how would fans feel about that considering what happened last time?

I quite liked Smith tbh. He wasn't given enough time. And unlike Rowett, he was unlucky not to keep us up.

Does anyone have any faith in this management  team appointing a decent manager?

No chance.

Nope.  I'm dreading the start of next season already :P

Ideally, we have someone in place by the start of June.

If we want to hit the ground running and change the culture within the club, we need a new manager in place, at the earliest opportunity.

The longer it drags, the worse the atmosphere deepens at the club for the players and the fan base.

Do I have any faith in this happening? Not really, unfortunately.

It really isn’t a subject I can get enthused about.

We know this will rumble on. The one positive if you can even call it that, of us knowing our fate quite early is that we have time to turn that into an advantage and get the ball rolling early.

But you know that they just won’t have even accepted relegation yet let alone thought about this. It will likely be well into June before we even hear anything official about Rowett which will be that he is not staying. New manager will not be announced until maybe the second week in July if we are lucky.

And all for what? We know whoever it is will fail. We’re going to do through all this for whoever it is to be binned in February time with us languishing in the bottom half.

Vile club.

Last season we knew our fate early, and did nothing for months.

I think this is the biggest factors to our relegation. The only player who’s looked capable of running this season is JJ, who did pre-season with Rennes. The wait to hire Marti was criminal

RVN was on a long term contract and we had to wait until 1 July to sack him for PSR reasons. Rowett’s contract ends after we play Blackburn.

I think they’ll just do a thank Gary for his efforts on Sunday.

The defeats to Charlton, Oxford and QPR at home followed by the awful draws against PNE and Sheff Weds have sent us down.

We aren’t going to stay up.

Who manages us?

Pearson isn’t going to happen.

Rowett has gone the wrong way and proven incapable.

Skubala won’t abandon a promoted Lincoln before anyone suggests him.

King isn’t anywhere near ready.

So come on, realistically who’s taking over?

See my new book just out on Amazon, 'From Heroes to Zeroes, How LCFC went from winning  the Premier League to playing third-tier football, in 10 years.' There are lots of decent managers about and when I say decent I mean managers who have a proven track record of success. LCFC are not going to get the head coaches at Lincoln and Cardiff in L1 and Paul Warne at MK Dons in L2 (for example) who have just got their clubs promoted. But we could try and get a manager such as Nathan Jones at Charlton. He played a vital role in Luton's rise from League 2 to the Premier League in 2 successful spells and was also Brighton's Assistant Head Coach. Leicester are a bigger club than Charlton and I believe Jones would be tempted by the challenge having secured Championship survival for Charlton this season. And btw, I don't think Andy King is management material.

Yep, Dean Smith as Manager, Fuchs as Assistant.

We will spend the summer chasing Enzo, Potter and Dyche no doubt. Haven't got a clue at boardroom level

None of them will come. I mean seriously? Marsesca?? After the sh*tty little stunt he pulled on us?? Potter??? Gary Megson in disguise and Dyche (the draw specialist) haven't we suffered enough under the clueless Rowett???? I've touted Nathan Jones at Charlton.
