Can they assemble a squad more dislike-able than last season? They’ll try their best. That’s where the money should go, recruiting. Coaches are ten a penny, good man manager’s though, a different story.

Popular Post LCFCCHRIS Posted Sunday at 14:28 Popular Post Posted Sunday at 14:28 I keep hearing "what do you expect for league one", "you won't get better in league one". We are not bound to hire "big names" that have failed. Novel concept for some, but we can, you know, do some actual research and assesment of managers across Europe and get someone on the up (Challinor is obvious didn't even need to look outside of the country). 6

Popular Post Pratlinho Posted Sunday at 14:48 Popular Post Posted Sunday at 14:48 Swans fan in peace. You have my sympathies. I wouldn't wish Russell Martin on Cardiff. Tactically insane, arrogant, thin skinned and utterly incapable of self reflection or accepting responsibility for anything. Easily the worst manager we've had in my lifetime, and we once appointed someone from Cradley Town youth team. Expect him to fall out with several players, your defence to concede ludicrously poor goals as a result of avoidable errors, and to wonder why so many other players are playing out of position. He'll make you question your own sanity sometimes with just how ridiculous he is. 2 8 7

robski Posted Sunday at 15:03 Posted Sunday at 15:03 I’m as shocked and disappointed in the supposed appt of Russel Martin as the new manager as most on this thread. Aside from his footballing management abity which is debatable I simply don’t like or warm to the bloke from my limited observations of his interviews. That said……the current state of the club with the powers to be in charge offer limited hope and it’s possibly the best appt following Cooper Ruud Cifantees and Rowett for the fact he has managed in higher leagues and needs to prove / rebuild his career along with us so there maybe some alignment that will work and get us out this division on the first attempt which I believe is crucial. All this talk of Chalinor ( who I understand has always got teams into playoffs ) is fine but surely we want someone that can go that higher level and aim for top 2 auto promotion slots and he just maybe able to achieve this at first attempt out of league 1 but I don’t really know and feel generally disillusioned with everything. At least the World Cup is giving a welcome distraction

Even now we've still got a few who pine for him and insist that he would have eventually succeeded if the club had backed him. This was after we went on a run of three wins in 26 games, only one of which was against eleven men.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted Sunday at 15:07 Posted Sunday at 15:07 This appointments just so lacks imagination and it’s so predictable. And we carry on this bizarre obsession with Southampton… I think he’s come across as a pillock elsewhere, but I’ll give him a go and want him to succeed like any manager. I just don’t think he will. Oh and get ready for a Smallbone 😂

The problem is, we have an owner and his sidekick, who are even more clueless. Edited Sunday at 15:10 by sm1
nnfox Posted Sunday at 15:17 Posted Sunday at 15:17 This is all just a bad dream. I refuse to accept that this is going to happen until I see a video of him at the training ground, with hands waved in front of his face. It's just a massive wind up. Has to be. 1
los dedos Posted Sunday at 15:27 Posted Sunday at 15:27 I wonder what his wages will be compared to the other league one managers .🤔😅
Free Falling Foxes Posted Sunday at 15:31 Posted Sunday at 15:31 Top: Wrong. Rudkin: Wrong. You know the old saying, if two wrongs don't make a right, try a third.... Martin: Wrong. 2

Corky Posted Sunday at 15:46 Posted Sunday at 15:46 This is the one. No more excuses. The board have wanted this for three years, this is no late fall back option when the first choice fell through. If this fails then they have nowhere to go. 1

To be fair how you described him is exactly how I'd describe our owner and DoF or Whatever made up title is
