I like Tuchels comments and I don't Bellinghams honesty either but it does now have the making of a fall out.

Hopefully they can both accept each others words and move on.

It's telling that the favourites all go through the gauntlet to this stage, even when game have been quite finely balanced. They're winning the fine margins, except for France and maybe Spain who've just clearly been the best sides in their respecive games.

That was my worry after Bellingham's comments, but I hope they see the bigger picture. Both are right, we need to be better, but the conditions were tough to play in, so both are correct

after seeing the arg swiss highlghts...the swiss had a real good go at them

england could actually have a chance against the argies

Of course we have a chance but we're just as fragile as them but nowhere near as creative

Argentina's luck.....after the Egypt game.....think its more than luck if you get what im hinting at

its already been shown how corrupt fifa is

One step closer to their beloved messi final, not sure how we can compete with that...something extraordinary will have to happen.

Going by some reports you’d think we got away with two fortunate decisions last night too .

There wasn’t anything clear and obvious to rule out any foul on Djed Spence after an on field decision to give it so there’s that.

Given the talent pool is about five times smaller, the result is not overly surprising. Argentina can produce exceptional players year in, year out. Just like Brazil.

Switzerland has never had a Messi-like figure.

And this national team is a bit too lightweight for my liking.

That Switzerland made it this far was also down to a sheer chunk of luck.

Rooting for England now.

So Nyland kicks the ball at a wire and expects a stop in play, better idea dont kick it towards the wire.

FIFA said it wasn’t obvious apparently.

5live did bring it up and they thought Norway’s disallowed goal was soft too. but that the Spence penalty probably should have stood .

Both Bellingham and Tuchel can both be right. We didn't play our best and got through on sheer will and thanks to Bellingham's fantastic movement.

But even Tuchel has to accept in those sorts of conditions mistakes will happen and playing nice football has to take a back seat to game management and intelligence.

As far as the Spence penalty goes, yes he stuck his leg in front of the defender, but we've also seen plenty of those given and will continue to at all levels. I don't think VAR should have got involved. Certainly not after what Collina has had to say about re-refereeing incidents.

I do think Bellingham could've been smarter with his words personally whether he was right or not. Just came across as dismissive and a little petulant imo.

I'm kind of old school in thinking that the managers opinion is the most important and clearly we do need to be better with the quality of opposition about to get significantly more difficult.

I'd like to think they'll both be professional enough to not let something so minor rock the boat

Maybe it goes back to last year when Tuchel called Jude's behaviour repulsive , but there's definitely an ego clash going on between the two. Tuchel knew it, that's why he started playing Roger's as a 10, before the WC. Now Jude knows he's undroppable, he's dismissed Tuchel's views as "whatever" and doubled down on it later by saying he (Tuchel) doesn't know how it is to play in those conditions.

Seen a clip of it lined up with the sensor data from Reddit, and there's no spike or any flicker when it supposedly hits the wire. Angle isn't particularly clear either

Regardless what you think was or wasn't, we should all know that incidents like that may not be interpreted as we see it.

For instance, you could argue Anderson should've been strong enough to take Haaland's push and made a meal of it. I'm not saying he did, but we've all seen decisions like that.

Could easily have lost that game and the players need to realise they can't really just on doggedness.
