But maybe for a fee greater than we could afford. They've done loans to League One and then Champ etc and gone for several million like Doyle etc. The one outlier was Morgan Rogers.

Hope so, I guess that would mean he’s done very well.

Anything that keeps me from watching Thomas is a huge positive lol

I mean we’ve had many kids come through over the years worse than Thomas. Jock Wallace’s babes had full backs worse, and anyone remember Norman Leet?

Think they just aren’t over the line yet, you’d figure the sooner they’re announced and with the team training the better, and surely if they were training it would get out

We got no youth for the position?

No.

Ali and Daniel’s will never be good enough.

Mcfarlane might be 6 foot but no good if you can’t jump.

He is absolutely fantastic going forward though so hopefully this will offset his current defensive frailties.

With Ings it took a few days for the medical stuff to leak out too, could be adebayo failed his medical too

If so, maybe we are actually doing our due diligence for once

Of all the players we were / are linked with, this one I was most excited for. I think he's got tremendous potential and left back has been a position we have struggled with for years.

but he wont play!

pointless loan signing.

thomas played pretty much every minute under RM

Enzo backhander

The quote from him saying he met Martin a few weeks ago shows just how long these things can take I guess. And also never be in the news until the day they turn up to sign the deal.

It was the same with Chaplin he said talks started shortly after the season finished but things take time…
Trouble is most in this forum think if you say a name by the time you close your mouth the deal should be done

I've no idea if McFarlane is any good and I hope he has a great season for us.  Find it a little odd to be signing a left back though when we need to strengthen other positions.  Surely Thomas and Coulibaly are more than good enough for League 1, I'd assume one of them is probably off.

Unless we are playing Thomas as a striker

Have you seen them two play no wonder we got another left back in

I'd be surprised if Coulibaly doesn't leave

Man City put a game on a few weeks ago for players available during the window, so perhaps it was at this

I criticize the club (a lot) but getting a loan done relatively early, is an improvement on recent windows.

I have no idea about the lad but competition for Thomas is another plus.

If he performs at the same level at Alan Woolett, I will be very happy..

He looks alright as a player, the problem is he doesnt look like a "keep ball" player.  Instead he looks like my type of player who not scared to dribble the ball and get past players.

I don’t think we are looking to play keep ball if pre season ie anything to go by
