wont get the attention because of the usual characters being awful, but Burns was absolute dross today seems like he doesnt know how to run

Is it him or the system this manager plays. It was q8 minutes into the second half before his first touch. Massively overshadowed by the excellent full back down that side. Not sure what he is doing. I believe the whole midfield is unbalanced as we try to accommodate Skipp.

An Ipswich fan here. You have now got two heroes from out team. Wes and Chappers will create great things in League 1. Definite promotion. Good luck LCFC for next year

Well based on that performance from Burns you can have him back. Quite obvious to see why you were happy to let him go.  Hopefully he will improve but he looked distinctly average today.  Obviously just one game but not impressed.

He was Ok kept out on the wing looking for balls over the top that didn’t come to him,  didn’t see Carr in pre season so can’t compare but think Burns will contribute to goals this season

Clearly not match sharp or fit - he had no pace at all and looked leggy after 20 minutes - hopefully 3 or 4 games will get him sharp otherwise we may have signed a player who is the victim of past injuries ……he was the most disappointing new player as I believed he would eat up this level - never once went by the full back.

He had no chance in that game or a slow system.  Skipp actively looks to sabotage any attack by sending it backwards and Reid was usually in our half the times he tried to break and make something happen. He is from a team that look to bomb forwards quickly and support players, our support is Skipp constantly telling everyone to pass back to Okoli.

A few times he did run onto passes ahead. It they were heavy.

Our wingers were massively let down by the players around them.

Alves was feeding off of scraps from Thomas. He looked gassed but the end of the first half. Alves sent him on a 1-2 into space but he plodded after it and u see no pressure sent it back rather than attempt a cross.

We're playing him instead of someone that's wanted by Man United, Arsenal and Villa.

Mavididi? lol

I really like this guy. He's clearly getting good enough for the championship, he can pass, carry the ball and most importantly, unlike most others, he is physically ready for the fight. He rarely got knocked off the ball and when he did he went back at them. He put muscled a few players. He has good technique as well. Also works hard.

Yup, not a problem with Burns. Him and Alves are the best wingers we have to be honest.

Good issue to have is him, Alves and Howell all look above the level, with Watson I don’t want to pass judgement on too early.

I thought all four looked lively and could create given the right service but why do we always play the ball to feet rather than into gaps/spaces?

Have a feeling he's going to be a good, solid option for us this season. Wings feel kind of okay now, with backup/competition, which is not something we've been able to say for a while.

Early days, but Alves left, Burns right, Watson and Howell to challenge/come on in the second half should be good enough for the league. It's up front and at the back that will make us struggle.

Absolutely shocking first half vs MK Dons today, like sub-Ayew standards of bad, causing us problems in defence and costing us attacks, and has looked half hearted doing all of it.

Right now he’s looking like a tall Ayew. Let’s hope he’s got a cold or had a sleepless night and he’s not as bad a signing as he looks!
