Some flaws in that article. 1) Jeff Schlupp the one to watch? ok. 2) "Arsenal defeated the Foxes in both of their match-ups through speedy passing around the slower defenders, and clinical finishing." Yeah, you didn't see the game at the Emirates, Ben. 3) Inler our star player? ok 1

There’s only one other example to compare it with. “it did take a long time for opponents to cotton on to quite how devastating Leicester were on the break and, by the time they did so, Claudio Ranieri’s side were far enough ahead of the pack to keep playing as they had.” That makes no sense. If opponents had “worked us out” our league position wouldn’t really have any bearing on the result of each individual game. “no side in the opening weeks of the season will go to King Power and attack.” Great. Not sure why that would be a bad thing. Anyway, after Vardy’s goal at Liverpool (in February) I don’t think we scored an opening goal via a counter-attack apart from the game against West Ham. Stoke, Norwich, West Brom, Newcastle, Southampton, Swansea, Everton all went behind to us at the KP - even though they had plenty of defenders back. After that, the brilliant tactical ruse of “not attacking” isn’t gonna do them much good.

Presumably it means that by the time we were 'figured out' we were already so far ahead that it didn't matter that we weren't being as successful. which is, of course, still ridiculous, as we still got results despite teams having supposedly figured us out, and in fact extended our lead over the last few months of the season. Corky Posted 11 August 2016 Posted 11 August 2016 (edited) Some mailboxer on Football365 reckoned Vardy might suffer from second season syndrome. In his fifth season with us, that would be impressive. And both his second seasons in each division have brought 40 goals and two titles but there you go. Edited 11 August 2016 by Corky 3

With ten games to go last season I had a look at the form of previous champions and top four fire the last ten. The usual total was usually around 21/22 arsenal once managed 26 and man city 24. Having been sussed out e only managed a meagre 24. Teams changed their approach and then so did we, whatever they did last season they couldn't beat us yet to hear managers and pundits talk we'd been worked out by Christmas.

Phube Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 EVERY BBC pundit guesses the top four (with a special guess for where Leicester will finish), guess which pundit puts us the lowest!? http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37040156 (Can't post table on here as on phone)

What's also worth saying is that just because the opposition know how we're gonna play doesn't mean they know how to stop us! Everyone knows exactly how Barcelona are going to play. After we beat Chelsea in December, Mourinho said in his post-match interview that he knew exactly what Vardy and Mahrez were going to do. Didn't do him much good that night...
MrSpaM Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 It's like the press are just trying to forget last season ever happened
biggs Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 No respect.....maybe after this season but do we really care??? More of a laugh when I see Waddle's with Spurs on top and us in 9th. hahaha
Jimmy Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 what gets me is they use the CL card to beat us but ignore that Spurs played their reserves in the Europa last season which they cannot do this season
Unabomber Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 Man their reaction to the relegation odds is class, pure disbelief and they ain't clever enough to fake it.
Phube Posted 12 August 2016 Posted 12 August 2016 (edited) This is what's getting me at the moment as well, fine the Man's, Chelsea even Arsenal to be up there. But almost without fail they all put Spurs much higher than us. A team we beat by 11 points, they went into free fall, they've added 2 players I don't understand. Edited 12 August 2016 by Phube
