Got to admit....the uncouth, unsophisticated Aussie toilet humour of Colin From Accounts made me laugh.

totally agree! It shouldn't be good but it actually is. I hadn't heard anything about it and just happened to see an advert for it so gave it a go.

The night agent on Netflix. I'd give it a 7.5/10

Thriller, murder mystery, FBI agent drama

Been watching this last few nights, love it! Very gripping and not something I'd usually watch.

I love watching MasterChef but this year's season has started diabolically.

It's become a personality driven venture, I fear, with the same archetypes being given the nod.

Episode 3 they've invited a vegetarian on to judge with no brief to cook veggie food. Seemingly pointless.

That Vanessa woman was lucky to go through IMO. Ignored both briefs and got lucky with a nice tasting dish in the last one.

They want her through because she ticks a box or two they're wanting to tick.

They let go a decent chef or two in the first episode to keep in the wacky big guy because he ticked a box.

It's sad because the show used to be literally about food.

The BBC innit.

Disregard real talent in favour of minority groups because they've been told to meet inclusion targets by the Gov. Licence fee money at risk if they don't  meet the targets toe the line.

Perhaps.

It just seems to want to become a bit more 'reality TV'. So the bloke who wears his cap backwards and looks a bit like Nick Frost goes through for a few episodes because he looks zany at the expense of someone a bit boring.

I've been watching some old episodes of portrait artists and landscape artists of the year on Sky Arts.

Mrs. FFF and I guess the winner each time.

You simply choose the painting that looks like it was done by a chimp.

Don't normally binge but we did with this. Best show this year so far.

Been watching the Obi-Wan Kenobi series this past week and had a pretty good time with it. Looking forward to picking up some of the other Star Wars series if this remains rewarding.

It's actually one of the weaker live action Star Wars series on offer. Andor and the Mandolorian are much better.

The finale to this seasons Mandalorian  was pretty much what I wanted, no Thrawn reveal but we know he's returning in Ahsoka anyway.

The final scene :D reminded me of those old westerns.

I'd heard good things. I'll get stuck into them after.

Kenobi was ok, if you enjoyed that you might find some other stuff you'll like and the animated stuff is pretty good.

The Clone Wars starts with an animated movie that's bearable and then for the first six seasons jumps up and down the timeline of the clone wars with stories that range from adequate to brilliant, the final seventh season basically is three stories that follow one another and ends at the same point as the third movie

Then you have Rebels that takes place between the third and fourth movie.

The Bad Batch starts right at the end of the third movie and is decent with some brilliant episodes, it is going to have a final third season.

Then you have the live action stuff, The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett which varies in quality, Andor which is a slow, slow burn and later this year Ahsoka.

The shorts are pretty good too, mostly.

Why do acts for ‘Britain’s got talent’ come from other parts of the world to perform?   They simply aren’t!

surely we should have a show called ‘the worlds got talent’  !

They are brought in and paid for by the producers to ensure you watch.

Sadly you’re likely right

I’m afraid we can’t really believe much that we see on our screens ……. Effectively it’s now a global talent competition where production companies try to find the ‘best’ acts for our ‘enjoyment’ ….. if that means sending scouts around Africa and Asia then so be it -  I really wouldn’t have a problem if they changed the name of the show ….. maybe it’s my pedantry that’s the issue!

and fortunately I rarely watch

Mandalorian has had far too many "what is this shit" moments for me this season, its story telling is beyond basic. Of course, all tastes are subjective but Andor still shits all over everything else, not just from a story telling perspective, but from the acting, to the location shoots of the CGI locations.

I'm not 7 any more, the silly return of the Jedi type of Star Wars does nothing for me, I want Star Wars for people are 40 years older than they were when it first came out.

Just watched the finale and absolutely loved it. My fave show atm, but you are right all tastes are subjective.

Indeed, I’m not one for loads of special effects and fighting etc. I can’t stand most marvel films for instance as half the time it’s just grand action set piece one after another.

Bloated budgets and CGI has made it too easy to rely on all of that stuff rather than good original writing.

I’ve adored some of the Mandolorian, the final episode of season two had me in tears ffs ha. Other times the acting, writing and directing has been bloody awful.
