Bayfox Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 Oh, I thought people were saying it was a red due to impeding a goal scoring oppurtunity because Vaughan would have got to the ball and been 1v1. I didn't see any elbow at the time, I just thought Wasyl bundled him over. No i never saw the elbow at the time either. But having seen it again i'm glad he got away with it from our point of view. But it's a cowardly act. Don't like being on the end of them. It ****ing hurts. The elbow is one of the hardest parts of the human body and can do damage. Like it or not raising your hands is not allowed in the modern game. As proved by the red for the retaliation.
Harry - LCFC Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 Not a red IMO. Doesn't strike him with the elbow as such, fairly soft contact. Also don't think it's intentional, can't see any clear aggression in his actions and I think he means to simply hold him back.
katieakita Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 I agree vaughan left the ref with no choice. But which is going to cause more harm. An elbow or a shove. Why not gob at him for good measure. Thought it was more of an arm and elbow out to block him off more than an elbow in the face. Looks like the officials saw it that way as well. Bluetintedspecs Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 This is a tough one, it looks like he flings his arm up to shield the ball, but Vaughan carries on with pace. That's what it looks like at normal video speed anyway. Thats how I saw it K F S
Collymore Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 Still can't figure out whose box 35 seconds is in? If he's defending then it's the most frightening play I've seen.
Dan LCFC Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 And to add... to be honest those complaining should consider the point at which this happened. Huddersfield were very much in the ascendancy and Wasyl's actions (intentionally or unintentionally) lead to one of their players getting himself a red card and nullifying their fightback. It might not be the nicest way to win but after years of trying I'm not going to complain if it gets us out of this league. Or on the other hand, it could've left us a defender short when we were already under the cosh.
Finnegan Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 Awesome. Although I think that's a different video, I don't remember the one I was watching having Flogging Molly. Fantastic song. Drunken Lullabies plus Marcin Wasilewski, that's probably the best video on youtube.

ScouseFox Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 I'm kinda amazed at the general unnecessariness of most the fouls/incidents i've found on the net. Like that one I've just posted. An attacking free kick that he turned into literally attacking his marker. I think he might actually be a maniac.

Simmo86 Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 Bloke clearly has a screw loose but if he sticks one on Simon Cox November 9th they'll be no complaints from me.
The God Emperor Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 for a while now I think we've had a team that's too nice. I'm over the moon to have a maniac like the butcher in the side.
lgfualol Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 I can't believe how easy it seemed to get him, considering his past experience. I love him, hope he gets a lot of playing time this season.

ScouseFox Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 I reckon he could even have Pearson's daughter and still be in the next starting line up.

MPH Posted 20 October 2013 Share Posted 20 October 2013 I dont condone elbows to the face but to rough up their best player so he looses it and gets himself sent off is the sort of thing most managers dream of....

Strokes Posted 21 October 2013 Share Posted 21 October 2013 Takes a brave man to fling an elbow out and get away with it. Well done Who knows maybe james vaughn called him a builder surely that would justify it?
Ric Flair Posted 21 October 2013 Share Posted 21 October 2013 Hahahahahaaaa i'm astounded he gets away with it, I hope British refs adopt a common sense approach with him and leave him be. I know we'd be up in arms if a player did that sort of stuff to our players but personally I find it funny. I hope he punches the ball then goalie in to the net from a corner and the ref doesn't dare disallow it.
