Finnegan Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 This thread title was so retarded I literally thought Leicesterpool, Kingfox or Col would be behind it.
Fox92 Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Always said I'd be worried about Sheffield Wednesday or Middlesbrough, however, I cannot see it. Why would he want to leave what he has built up here?
Sharpe's Fox Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 I think Nigel will go there, but i'm not worried. Non-league Nigel that is.
Donut Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Maybe with a decent salary, a 5 year contract, and the promise of funds to strengthen the squad in January............. He would still say "**** No"
21st Century Fox Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Isn't Nige on a hefty (£1 million?) performance bonus if he takes us up? Either way...
kingfox Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 There's more chance of me having a full on snog with Finnegan, than Pearson going to Middlesbrough.
Stadt Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 There's more chance of me having a full on snog with Finnegan, than Pearson going to Middlesbrough. You are definitely bisexual.
Bryn Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 The sensible answer is that if we were in similar positions he might well be tempted but he's onto a good thing here and the Boro job will likely come around again.
Far Post Gerry Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Graeme Souness in the frame apparently! Good luck with that, Smoggies...
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 There's more chance of Finnegan posting anything other than abusive nonsense than this happening.
Vlad the Fox Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 Graeme Souness in the frame apparently! Good luck with that, Smoggies... Ha ha, is souness still applying for jobs?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 This thread title was so retarded I literally thought Leicesterpool, Kingfox or Col would be behind it.
Jace Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 Why don't they approach Sir Alex Ferguson he is out of work and might be tempted?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 Total non starter this thread IMO. Sideays step at best, reality a backwards step
inckley fox Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 I'd be very, very surprised. I'm not sure, however, that it would be so much stranger than Freedman's move to Bolton, or even McGhee's move to Wolves. He has six months left on his contract here with little prospect of renewal unless we go up; if a club offered him a more lucrative, longer term deal with the promise of funds that he won't have here (not unless we're promoted first) then a lot of managers would be, and have been, tempted down-table. Now I doubt Boro can offer those things, doubt even more so whether any substance will ever attach itself to this hypothetical... and I know, based on past evidence, that it would be an immense and most probably ill-advised gamble, but we shouldn't simply laugh it off.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 No. Pearson would never leave us for them.
ealingfox Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 I'm more worried about getting abducted by aliens on the way to work this afternoon.
MPH Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 Not sure he'd leave but it could be a useful bargaining chip for his agent. I find them all intolerable but they use stuff like this...
Kitchandro Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 I'd be very, very surprised. If he left for them it could ruin his career. He'd be crazy to go to them right now.
