Right, time to ask again... Vardy for England?

Vardy is now earning the plaudits that he did against Man Utd. on a weekly basis, not only from us but from pundits left, right and centre. He's in red-hot form and is now our leading goal assister by some way. Oh, and he's found his shooting boots to some extent, too.

It's tempting fate somewhat, because there are still 2 games to run, but if, and it's still quite a big if, we do stay up, do you think Hodgson might consider picking Jamie in the squad for the summer internationals based on his workrate, assists and pace? If so, how do you think he'd fit into the current England set-up?

(Braces self for backlash for daring to suggest such a thing after last time  )

No chance, wasn't at his best yesterday despite his assist. To be a striker for England you either have to be a target man or a proven, established goalscorer (usually) and he is neither unfortunately. Maybe next season will bring him more goals, but until then he won't stand a chance of making the squad.

He hasn't got enough quality to play for England. Great workrate yes but that alone doesn't make him good enough.

No, he showed his limitations when he went through 1-on-1, his finishing isn't up there. Nonetheless, I love the guy - if he was a prolific finisher he wouldn't be at Leicester but he does a hell of a job for the team.

Don't think it would be the worst thing to have a player with his pace and desire in the squad, and give us someone who can actually press from the front....but there is literally no chance this will ever happen unless we start next season like we have ended this and he scores at least 10 goals.

Kane, Sturridge, Rooney, Sterling, Ings, Austin, Walcott, Oxlade chamberlain, Lennon all ahead of Vardy, but I would have Vardy ahead of Lambert.

I honestly don't think you're Leicester fan who has thought it but I disagree with the suggestion.

Scoring as few goals as he has he shouldn't be getting a look in.

Pace and work rate are world class.

The rest of his game isn't.

He's a young 28 in terms of experience so has more scope to improve than players his age so it might click for him at some point to be England class.

He's a lot better than ings.

On an England note, rumour going round in the land of Leicester that Big Woy was there to watch some of our youngsters. One of which had to go off injured. Camera on the stream panned to Roy after james' injury, he looked disappointed. Shame for james if true.

Someone said Hodgson was there yesterday?

Hodgson was there yesterday. Probably watching the overrated Clyne.

And Bertand! Clyne has been decent but reminded me of Lee Marshall yesterday.
