Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 why a new agreement? I understood there was an option to extend existing terms. I assume therefore new terms have been agreed. Apart from salary, have there been any other new terms introduced? Is there a further extension clause for example? I'd imagine that there was a good signing on fee last season, so continuing that deal wouldn't have been so lucrative. This new deal obviously is. He brings a lot to the club though, so fully backing it.
fleckneymike Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Just a thought, but with the news that Cambiasso is due to sign in a few days, 2 days after confirming Ranieri. Do you think there was a lack of confidence in Pearson on cambiasso's part? Did Cambiasso play a bigger part in the final run in tactically than we are led to believe? And finally does anything think that possibly Cambiasso could have been consulted prior to Nigel pearson's sacking? Considering the odd timing, and supposed lack of reason, it's a possibility. No.

Just wondering if there is something else built in - i.e where is the complexity - oh well time will tell

Guest Papasmurf Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Do we know for sure he hasn't been training with the club since his contract expired?

I think this is a distinct possibility. I get the impression, and it is only a guess, that in the week before the West Ham game, EC effectively addressed the group, no doubt respectfully and without negativity towards NP, and said boys, we are not going down. This is how we are going to escape. Believe me, we are not going down. I wonder if in many respects it was the sheer force of Estaban's personality that was the catalyst
VLC86 Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Cambiasso is going to Burnley. Maybe to have a shit in Dyches office and nothing else.
TMELcfc Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 According to his brothers last tweet this is all a load of shit @fedecambiasso: STOP rumours, Cambiasso is still a free agent, waiting to hear and make a decisión http://t.co/rpo3GZV4LR

Wymsey Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Nope. ITK's full of it again. Yep. I know it's not true yet when first4lcfc stated that he had signed a new contract.

TMELcfc Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 The first image he posted was him and Van Gaal shaking hands!! That really shit me up!
Leeds Fox Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 'Waiting to hear'. I can't work out if that means he's just waiting to 'hear' of any other offers coming his way. Or whether he's waiting to hear our offer, if he's asking for an improved contract. I know agents can be cvnts at the best of times, but EC's brother seems to use Twitter a little too much. Photos in London, at this stage of negotiations it's almost as if he's teasing, or playing mind games with either us, or other clubs interested. As silly as it sounds, it all comes across as a little childish. He's basically fuelling rumours, then coming out and asking for them to be stopped.
