kingcarr21 Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 If Rooney and Sturridge are both fit come the start of the tournament they'll play. They will be the strike partnership. Vardy will probably only start in this game because Rooney is injured. I think you're right...Hodgson doesn't choose a counter-attacking system and I doubt will change that for the tournament just to include Vardy. I maintain, this game is a dead rubber. It's meaningless. I'd hate to see Vardy play, get injured and potentially scupper our season because of it. And you know Vardy...if he plays he'll be giving it his all (he can't play any other way). I dont want Vardy's England journey to end with just a handful of caps. I want him to play and stake a claim for England to introduce a counter attacking system. A few pundits believe our best chance at a tournament is to play on the counter. Yes Rooney and Sturridge will prob be the strike partnership but wouldnt it be great to see Vardy at the World Cup. Possibly score a goal at the World Cup. What a journey that would be. I want him at the Euro Tournament. Him getting injured is a risk worth taking. Am i the only one that thinks it will be Kane and Walcott tomorrow night? They may very well do but dont forget there are 2 games coming up. Vardy may miss one but play the full 90 minutes of another.

Estonia and Lithuania both have something to still play for so its not going to be a completely dead rubber. Hopefully they'll go for the jugular and leave Vardy plenty of room at the back. We all know though the game in Lithuania will be dreadful
Number 6 Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 To be fair if you had Sturridge, Vardy, Walcott and Sterling in your squad, you could be pretty brutal on the counter.
adam95581 Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 I'm just happy that he looks more involved than in the previous camps. Seems to be sharing a laugh with players rather than being on the edge of the group. He's well liked by the LCFC lot so no reason why he shouldn't be integrated within the England set up too.

KP Fox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Apologies if you all know this anyway and for being on the wrong thread, Shinji scored for Japan tonight. Hope he comes back and does the same for us next week.
Great Boos Up Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 This could all end in tears for us over a meaningless game. 47 teams in Europe competing to qualify and it only takes one neanderthal centre back. Try naming 47 European countries! You really have to think hard. Luckily it's Estonia and I say that half Ironically but it could have been worse. Keep safe Jamie.
Heymister2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 typical England playing so called big under performing names when there best striker is vardy who should be ahead of Rooney anyway! He's been shit for about 3 seasons! I'm not interested in record breakers scoring goals against shit teams
VLC86 Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Am i the only one that thinks it will be Kane and Walcott tomorrow night? Am i the only one who things Walcott will start up front and Vardy on the wing?

st albans fox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Am i the only one who things Walcott will start up front and Vardy on the wing? Yes cos woy already stated that Kane starts

The Doctor Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Listen, I doubt you've ever got 196/196 on the Jetpunk countries of the world quiz, that's right I have. Aren't there around 205 countries in the world?

Cyprus & Gibraltar get you over the line. or.. its 47 if you count UK individually? edit.. bugger. wait, thats 45 + england, Scotland and Wales.. and then NI... = 49 Sorry im confusing myself now
The Doctor Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 or.. its 47 if you count UK individually? Wales, Scotland and norn iron aren't sovereign states though, they're still governed from Westminster, with a small amount of devolved power.
ozleicester Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Wales, Scotland and norn iron aren't sovereign states though, they're still governed from Westminster, with a small amount of devolved power. But they play as individual countries? or have i lost whats being discussed here?
Loggy88 Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Vardy really deserves to start tonight for England, he could terrorise Estonia. But roll on the return of the proper stuff next weekend!
Wilson_6 Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 from reading bbc looks like there starting Kane. If Vardy doesnt start (He could still play in a forward 3) then there is no justice. Picking the big club players yet again...

lgfualol Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 He best start, it is the only reason I want to watch them play. He'll no doubt get 5 mins at the end of the game and we'll see Harry one-season wonder Kane play.
