ARM1968 Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 O'Leary seemed to think he could become one of the greats. I agree. He beats players with ridiculous ease. Bit more vision and experience and he will be all but unplayable.
FireFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 When he signed that new deal, that was our best signing this summer... certainly when he leaves to one of Europes elite we will get a lot of money for him We are one of Europe's elite. But seriously, unless he really wants to leave for Arsenal or a spot on Barca's bench, then why sell? Plus keeping him will earn us money - a few places up in the PL with him, hopefully more TV coverage, further in the cups, etc.
jimmeh Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Only a matter of time before someone wipes him out and get gets injured unfortunately I fear
Countryfox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Only a matter of time before someone wipes him out and get gets injured unfortunately I fear Don't worry mate a meteorite will hit the Earth and we will all die anyway ... So let's just enjoy him while we can
Wymsey Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I think there's pressure for him to do well, after all the recent plaudits (particularly in the last week), and hence perhaps slightly nervous performing? Just glad we don't rely on him all the time.
Jimmy Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 he can be frustrating, there are times I want to throttle him for not giving the simple ball but you just have to live with it because he can play like he did second half
ithuriel Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I think it is great that he does run at defences like he does, frightens them to death and stops them raiding us like we do them once we get going.

coolhandfox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Good player, once he improve his dicision making he will become a great player!
Max Power Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Too much hype around him for my liking. Needs a couple poor games, hopefully on TV.
st albans fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 His decision making for much of the game wasn't great but he had so many opportunities on the ball that his positive impact outweighs anything else. other teams will try and take him out but as he gets more media attention, refs will be looking to protect him. He was a tad embarrassing trying to get Amarillo sent off by the corner flag. Writhing around until he saw there was no second card.
foxtillidrop Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I just hope he stays with us for many years to come...an absolute joy to watch him bamboozle defences and can't remember seeing a player as exciting in the last 20 years that I have been a supporter...could tell he was class when he made his debut against Middlesbrough and even in the championship he had the ability to make those killer assists (Birmingham away springs to mind). Was always waiting to see what him and Knockaert could produce in the prem. Unfortunately we never got to really see what Knockaert could do but great to see Riyad flourishing and taking on defenders like they don't exist. Just hope we can keep his feet on the ground and keep him at LCFC.
Clever Fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 The evidence of CR influence was clearly visible today. He passed the ball more today than in other games. This is great to see as it totally confuses defenders. last season he was holding on to it too much which makes it easy for defenders. I feel we haven't seen the best of him yet. He he's smart and ignores the hype he will become a top top player.
Soar Fox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Just had a quick look on other teams forums. Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Man united fans all said they would like Mahrez to sign for them.
ScouseFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Just had a quick look on other teams forums. Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Man united fans all said they would like Mahrez to sign for them. when he finally leaves for barcelona im gonna find my post from last season when i said he could walk into any team in the world and ttfn agreed. it's amazing that some of us have known since we first saw him he'd win the ballon d'or yet we bought him for like four hundred grand haha. we've had everyone off there.
AKCJ Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Le Havre have probably got a 20% sell on clause and I won't even be mad when they get their 30m.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Mugged 3 villa players on their arse today at the same time and made sherwood want to kill himself. Barcelona can have him thats worth more than money to me
moseeds Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 I wouldn't begrudge him a move to Barca for 30 million. Just glad he's with us for now.

itsaknockeart Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 WhoScored.com @WhoScored 5 hrs5 hours ago Riyad Mahrez: Completed more successful dribbles vs Villa (12) than any other player has in a match in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season
UPinCarolina Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Mugged 3 villa players on their arse today at the same time and made sherwood want to kill himself. Barcelona can have him thats worth more than money to me He then proceeded to hold on to the ball for too long and had to pass back.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 He then proceeded to hold on to the ball for too long and had to pass back. He did that on purpose to make barca think hes not that good so he can stay at leicester forever
UPinCarolina Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 He did that on purpose to make barca think hes not that good so he can stay at leicester forever We can dream, can't we?
FoxinNotts Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 Nail Quinn said "it was like watching one of the greats on the ball, and I'm happy I was here to see that" Wow, big praise indeed. We are going to struggle to hide him, like we did Knocky, I fear.
FireFox Posted 13 September 2015 Posted 13 September 2015 4 goals, 2 assists - is that the best direct goal contribution in the Prem? I know Silva has 5. Also 22 successful dribbles/take-ons out of 30, which is pretty crazy.
