Jakemoore Posted 16 September 2015 Share Posted 16 September 2015 I've been singing this all afternoon for some reason at work; He came from France to be a blue, Mahrez, Mahrez, He goes past one, he goes past two Mahrez, Mahrez He gets the ball, he skins them all, Mahrez is unstoppable Riyad Mahrez Leicester's 24 Unsure where that came from. Tune is to Liverpool's old Torres song if you can't work it out. Great effort but he's number 26!
Col city fan Posted 16 September 2015 Share Posted 16 September 2015 I must apologise. I scoffed at the thought of Mahrez being valued at 20 mill quid. At present...double it! We are going to find it hard to keep him boys and girls. Hide him!

demon_dog Posted 16 September 2015 Share Posted 16 September 2015 Still can't get over how 3 Villa players were floored by has dazzling skill ! I can well imagine that the club will give him a big pay rise if any clubs come chasing him.
Great Boos Up Posted 16 September 2015 Share Posted 16 September 2015 Extraordinary two footed skill and exciting to watch but.....may have been indirectly responsible for Villas second goal. My point being would love to see him in a free role luxury player but needs Drinky and Kante behind him against better sides.

shen Posted 17 September 2015 Share Posted 17 September 2015 The club's doing great, he's the focal point of the team in the most prestigious league in the world. And he's just received a (likely) massive pay rise. He'd be second-fiddle at best at both Arsenal and Barcelona. And he hasn't said a thing, his agent has. Babylon Posted 17 September 2015 Share Posted 17 September 2015 May be a bit obvious, but still nice to hear that he wants to stay http://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2617223/mahrez-very-happy-at-leicester-despite-arsenal-barca-link All the quotes are just standard stuff. Footballwipe Posted 17 September 2015 Share Posted 17 September 2015 £40m, no less £45m if someone bids in January. We're going to be turning over at least £99m at least next season if we stay up. Coming from a heartless angle, he's signed up to 2019 so we have no reason to sell and the last thing we'll need is the money. But everyone has a price, and I'd be looking at the minimum above, though the more consistent he performs the more the price will ratchet up. st albans fox Posted 17 September 2015 Share Posted 17 September 2015 He's married an English girl. I think if depends whether she fancies living on the continent. I doubt he will be in a hurry to play for another PL side (assuming we aren't struggling).
Guest ttfn Posted 17 September 2015 Share Posted 17 September 2015 If he gets 20 goals and assists combined this season (6 already - it would take a brave man to back against him) he's surely got to be worth £30 million of any of the big 6's money. As Babylon says he's also got an X Factor about him and I'm certain he has the ability to unlock the very best defences in world football. He's probably the best player in the country at the moment (when was the last time we could say that?!) and irrespective of the current form of others must be one of the best 2 or 3 dribblers in the division. parisianfox Posted 17 September 2015 Share Posted 17 September 2015 If we sell Mahrez we are in a bib shit and if we sell him it should for at least 30M because he has so much to learn so he is very interesting
Stadt Posted 17 September 2015 Share Posted 17 September 2015 Even if we did sell him for £30m we'd have to replace him, players of a similar quality are already at clubs where we would be a step down.

Wymsey Posted 17 September 2015 Share Posted 17 September 2015 If Mahrez wasn't in the team (i.e. injured or suspended), I'd still think we'd be a decent team in this league. But his twists and open play technique are quite unique and obviously great to watch.
