Used these tables to illustrate a point in the Kasper thread but it's worth looking at them again to see just how well we're doing this season:

We're actually better defensively and in attack - 1 fewer goal conceded and scored 7 more and with a better goal difference of +8 (though the Southampton game skewers that slightly), though 4 points worse off, which actually in 2016 would still have put us top!

Interesting to look at how the other teams have fared too.

The other thing to consider in the 6 games in the second half of this season we've played Liverpool, Chelsea and Wolves away. 2 points from those games is about par.

Four wins in February since promotion in 2014. Had two managerial sackings in this month (and a possible third that never happened with Pearson).

Hopefully March brings the usual good form.

That includes the league winning season where we had a rubbish run of form in January and February.

Only 6 points off our points tally at the same point this season.

Hamza Choudhury: win ratio -43.4%
As the understudy to one of the league’s most underrated players, Hamza Choudhury has understandably struggled to have the impact of injured teammate Wilfred Ndidi. The youngster has started eight league matches this season and Leicester have only won two of them – against Sheffield United and West Ham.

Leicester with Choudhury starting: two wins in eight games (25%)
Leicester without Choudhury: 13 wins in 19 games (68.4%)

He's not very good.

  • Marc Albrighton now has as many Premier League assists as Riyad Mahrez for Leicester City (27). Only Jamie Vardy (28) and Steve Guppy (34) have more for the club.

Vardy's selflessness and creativity is underappreciated

Must say, Brendan got his game plan spot on for this. Completely killed any of Villa's attacking threat.

Yep, mentioned in the match thread of Albrighton thread that Albrighton's inclusion gave defensive cover for Pereira against Grealish. Grealish then moved centrally to get more of the ball then met the big bad Wilf.

Nullify Grealish and you nullify Villa.

Only ten players in Premier League history have won a Premier League title with two different clubs. 4 of them won the title with Leicester in 2015/2016.

One of them was the first player to win back-to-back titles with different clubs, and did so playing a total of 0 minutes of premier league football in both title winning campaigns.
