Ranieri transfer business finished

Either he's lying or Kramaric will be remaining part of the squad for the remainder of the season, because there's no chance we're going through to may with Vardy, Ulloa and Okazaki our only striking options.

I think he see's gray and Schlupp as options in the middle, I don't think kramaric will get any game time.

I think hes playing a clever game of saying that to calm the rumours and that maybe, if the deal and player is right for the club, that he has a few targets under the radar.

I hope he doe's. In the position we are in now we would be silly not to take advantage of atleast trying to sign better players and hopefully defying the odds of finishing in the top 4.

I think people are over reacting a bit to be honest, it could all just be a ploy to keep prices down but come on we are still Leicester City just because we are second do you think it would attract top players? CR and his staff's targets will of all been approached and probably turned down just like we would turn down bids for our players. The team we have is more than capable of keeping this run going and yesterday proved that we have capable players that can be called upon.

Remember it is a business world we are in and just because we are having a good season doesn't mean we are going to chuck 20 / 30 million on players off the back of half a good season. Its just not good business and wouldn't be in the clubs strategy / budget. We are in a situation where we have to find the right type of players as well, you couldn't just put anyone in this team the selection process needs to be tight to. If you brought a couple of new players and put them into the team what's that going to do to the squad harmony? it would kill it. Personally I would stick we the squad we have maybe look at loaning in a striker if the right one came about but we aren't desperate.

Jog on mate! There is no room for well thought out comon sense on here !

Schlupp an option in the middle? Please god no. If that's the case Kramaric must be dreadful.

If he can be coached to use his pace like vardy does he could be useful as a back up option, he lacks a lot to be a striker I agree.

It seems from the moan in that Ranieri is trying to persuade him to leave.

What about that fella who scored a hat-trick on his debut. All the rage at the time? Maybe he thinks Dodoo could offer us something up top? Pace power- make use of our youth

Schlupp has 12 goals in 130 games since then, I wouldn't consider him a good option up top (yes technically he played as a full-back for a lot of those, but how much time did he actually spend marauding forward like a winger?)

As for Dodoo - potential clearly there but let's not forget that it was against Bury, bit soon to be talking him up as a first team squad member in the premier league.

Let's not forget that just a few weeks ago Ranieri said that he was very happy with the players he has here already & he would NOT be adding to the squad! He also said, "Why risk upsetting my current players by bringing in new faces?"

Martin O'Neil used to come out with exactly the same propaganda, so let's just wait & see. Claudio knows what we need & he will act

accordingly. His 1st 'window' signing looks pretty good to me....young Gray what a prospect he is!

If we really arent bulking up the squad any further it is a massive compliment/ show of trust by Ranieri to the players.

Sure, the current set up could well see us finish in the top four, they have proven themselves good enough so far....

but it would be a big gamble and it will be telling to see how he changes the current team over the summer if we fall off and dont make it into Europe.

interesting situation this. Our current league position and perceived elevated reputation has placed us in the best position ever to attract quality signings.  Look at the Aranguiz debacle last year, when we lost out to a fairly average Bundesliga Team (all be it with CL football to look forward to), because we were considered relegation fodder and unknown.

I am not suggesting for one minute that we go and splash the cash on over-rated and expensive imports, but I do hope this statement from CR is not necessarily factual.

This would be what the whole squad would want to hear - and sticking with the group until more favourable trading conditions in the Summer might just work - CLaudio has been here long enough to make a full assessment of the players and is worthy of backing (until it goes wrong I suppose )

To be fair to Dodoo he ran rings round a strong West Ham side in the league cup... i'm not saying he's a starter or anything, but certainly an option.
