N'golo hammy being 'managed'

No worries, we've got cover... and West Bromwich's situation is somewhat different to that of Norwich's... Doing much better in the table and not that much involved in a relegation dogfight. Although it's a Pulis side, will they be setting up the way Norwich did? I'd expect a much more free-flowing or less defensive-oriented match still.

And our lads will have to do a bit better in terms of proactivity, cohesion and passing. Yesterday was a great result in the overall context, but I didn't like the performance. Hopefully, they're back to basics and have gotten into the flow again now. It felt all-too jittery and disjointed on Saturday.

Inler against WBA, possibly Ulloa too, as we are going to have to defend set pieces better than today. Inler is good in the air and good at breaking up play. King to be perpetual benchwarmer.

The Baggies looked good on MOTD, though surprisingly open at the back.

Don't get me wrong I love what a king has done for this club but I seriously don't get the love for him now. He is OK for a brief cameo but I would rather see Inler or Amartey start, when Kante went off yesterday we immediately looked more overrun in the middle.

Obviously nobody can directly replace Kante but for me King is not the man to do it

I hope Kante will recover ok. It's best to let him recover rather than risking him against WBA, with the way he plays as well I think it's important for him to feel 100% before he plays. Don't want the injury to be aggravated.

We've got some decent options for WBA on Tuesday night if Kante does not feature. King, Inler, Amartey. All capable of doing a good job in my opinion.

one guy we can't afford to lose.

I'd rather lose Kante than Vardy or Mahrez. With our run coming up against the weaker sides in the division we need to be breaking them down and it's a scarey thought without Vardy and Mahrez.

Did Kante come off yesterday because he felt he twinged it or was it planned and purely precautionary as we aim to manage it? Anyone know?

I believe he felt some pain and took him off right after

No matter how we dress it up this will be a massive loss.

Huge - although we were averaging more than two points a game without him for the first half dozen fixtures.

I would prefer to see him rested Tuesday as the ball is likely to spend a lot of time in the air anyway which isn't his strength. Better to have him available for the final 9 / 10 games without any concerns.

Personally think Kante has been the most important of the three recently. With regards to Mahrez, whilst he scored a fantastic goal against Man City I don't think he's contributed a great deal for 4 or 5 games now. He's getting a bit predictable by wanting to take the world on and can slow things down. Isn't being a team player for me. Whether it's to do with the Barcelona effect I don't know but he's certainly not in their league for me yet. Having said all that he can do nothing for most of a game and then change it in a second. However, a player like Kante has an influence throughout.

agree, we arent a one man team but kante is so so important.

we have the players to do the job if CR gets his tactics right but i think we will really miss him.

Might be worth going 352 for WBA if so. Wouldn't tweak the system for anyone else but not sure we have CM's mobile enough to otherwise play just 2. Might limit WBA too as they're looking a lot better with 2 up top now.

Not keen on Inler starting, his passing and general tempo is so slow. Need to play quickly against lower placed sides

Agreed.

First half of yesterday was painfully slow.

I hope Amartey is fit enough to play a full game in midfield now Simpson will be available again. He'll provide more energy in midfield than Inler. Of course Kanté will be a huge loss if he doesn't start on Tuesday but it will be better to have a fully fit Kanté on Saturday than a half fit Kanté in both games.
