Phube Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Won't stop the Guardiola love-in though. Just up the Spurs love-in!
Koke Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Dyche post match "We're up against a club who have a £42m midfielder and a £35m defender, and on top of that they get the help of the ref....did I mention they spent £35m on Mustafi?"
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Not delighted Arsenal won but I hate Burnley so **** off Discount Dyche
weller54 Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Glad one of our relegation rivals lost to The Arse though!!!

Guest Col city fan Posted 2 October 2016 Posted 2 October 2016 Wanyama looked absolutely superb today for the spuds. Solid in that midfield area.
foxy boxing Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 good to see Manchester city under pep are beatable although it is a shame it was the spuds who showed it can be done
Fox92 Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 Lee Grant practically got Stoke the draw. Great performance.
lgfualol Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 Swansea sack their manager and appoint Bob Bradley.
Dan Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 I'm not surprised he's gone but he's been quite unlucky really.
Vacamion Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 They keep flogging their best players and then blame the manager when it goes belly up?

Not sure Bradley is much of an improvement if at all. Not that I will complain if it means one more team below us come May.
Dan Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 I can't really get my head around what's happened at Swansea. They used to be a model small club. Exactly how a club of their size should've gone about their business. What's gone so wrong in the past couple of years? They've turned into one of the most characterless clubs in the division and they aren't that hard to play against anymore.
Koke Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 There was a time when even the top clubs genuinely worried about Swansea away. They were super efficient and played fantastic football. Shame really what has happened to them.
Ted Maul Posted 3 October 2016 Posted 3 October 2016 Meh, shocking away day. I'd happily swap them for someone like Sheff Wednesday. As for Spurs, they do look good. As much as I dislike them though, I can't help but feel that them winning the league would be good for our title win. Nobody will be able to say that we had no competition, if the team that we beat to it went and won the league the following season over Guardiola's supposedly all-conquering City side, or a Mourinho-led United.

I think theyre just basically a "nice" team that is starting to enter a downward spiral. There was always continuity at the the club with the likes of Sousa, Martinez, then Laudrup playing a certain brand of football. Gary Monk slowly moved away from that, largely through necessity but they were a decent outfit. Guidolin is maybe a little unlcky to lose his job but there seems less continuity now. Im not an expert on his career to date but i cant really remember an easy on the eye USA team known for neat passing, so will Bradley bring that? And into the equation the loss of players who are perhaps average to slightly better than average, but absolutely critical to the success of a Swansea through the spine of the team, the likes of Ashley Williams, Jonjo Shelvey, Wilfried Bony, even the likes of Michu who weighed in with goals ended up leaving, and its difficult to keep replacing them. Southampton have done this, but its difficult to keep achieving whilst losing your main players. I thought they were a team that could get dragged into the mire this season simply because i dont see where the goals are coming from. Not convinced with Llorente or Borja Baston as strike options, while they dont really strike me as a team that does "grinding out" results either.
