Anyone in the club decent enough for head of recruitment job? How about getting that fella back from Arsenal?

I think Everton may regret this a bit, can't see Koenan / the owners / Walsh agreeing on targets and to be fair Walsh is not a director of football type

I would be amazed if they did, the guy is clearly the best scout in the business.

This will be the biggest loss at LCFC for a very, very long time.

The club should just suck it up and either offer him an amazing new deal, or if he wants D.O.F., give it to him.

I have had to work this morning so what's happening?. Has he gone yet?. Is he taking Filbert and the 'Birch' with him?. Has Rudders been hung, drawn and quartered yet?

Have any young Frenchmen been spotted in

Morrison's?

Thanks in advance

I don't know what Rudkin does on a day to day basis but its interesting that despite him being here all through our recent success, in the role of DOF yet the general consensus is that he is shit at his job and does nothing. He must play a positive part at some point.

And Rudkin is? Rudkin is muck.

Rudkin is a power hungry ****!

But Ive always viewed a DOF as someone who completes transfers rather than identifies players. Therefore you have to be a pretty good negotiator. Is Walsh a good negotiator or just good at spotting deals.

im not a big fan of Rudkin especially after recent events (and apparently he is a cock) but I think we did alright to get £32million for a player than wanted to leave and had a £20million release clause

So all this has got something to do with Rudkin?

Nobody knows, no evidence to suggest it is. The anger directed at him comes from John Percy saying he seems to think he can do the scouting job, our players having shit release clauses and all the other stuff that's been written about his attitude and the youth team. Been lots of bits and pieces.... but you can't really blame him for Walsh going.

You can if he thinks he fancies Walshes job and isn't doing his best to negotiate a better deal because of this.

He's thinking of his own job security and potential personal benefits.

But we don't know that for sure, there is too much we don't know to jump to that.

All we can hope for is that Susan Whelan and the owners are aware of everything fully.

I'd like to think The Don will have a say too. If i had some one who could scout as well as Walsh .As a manager i would kick up a big fuss with the owners about hanging on to him.

Let's give ourselves a bit of perspective in this. A year ago we had just appointed Claudio to widespread derision the football world for LCFC fans had ended relegation was a certainty. We were about to buy Kante ( kante who ) and the following year is the best in our great clubs history.

we were sceptical then about everything and are now. Why don't we just chill enjoy the current season and see where the ride takes us. The clubs management from top to bottom have outwitted the very best the league has to offer yet forum warriors on here thing the club are messing up. Walshs job with us has always been chief scout or chief of recruitment. If Everton are offering him D.O.F that is a totally different position and if he had that job with us he would not be finding the talent but sorting the terms and release clauses etc. So we would still need the talent spotters out on the sidelines at Caen in midweek and as D.O.F at Everton that won't be Walsh!

Poor mr Rudkin is getting dogs abuse for the job he's doing all in hindsight. He deals with a certain Mr Kante and his agent who clearly were not too fussed about coming to Leicester ( Leicester who? ) Kante insists on a release clause backing his ability Rudkin puts it in at around 4 times of that we paid yes 4 times and a season later we have to sell and get 6 times what we paid. What on earth could he have done any different before Kante had kicked a ball?

We really ought to smell the coffee we are champions of the EpL Seeded in pot one of the champions league and have achieved more than most if not all teams our size ever will, yet to some on here our DOF is a w....r and the management generally clowns! You really couldn't make it up

I'm struggling, but here is a positive spin on things.

The club maybe think that Walsh isn't DoF material. Ok, he's clearly a great judge of player, good coach and very likeable person, but as a DoF he will be negotiating with clubs, players and agents. To do so requires somebody ruthless, persuasive and head strong. Perhaps Walsh is too nice and quiet for that sort of role.

The club may also think the setup is already in place and the benefits of signing unproven, hungry players with good attitudes and worth ethics are obvious. Maybe the club feel confident that with this setup and philosophy in place, and with Ranieri to make the final call on which players to sign, we don't really NEED Walsh anymore.

This is all very disconcerting because so many clubs have got their transfer dealings horribly wrong for years. Signing expensive talented players, but collecting them rather than building a team. I always had this amazing sense confidence in the club when Walsh was here because I knew we did things right, singing good players who wanted to be part of a team and with no egos. With him gone it's all up in the air and it feels very strange.

My concern is that more players leave (+ probably Shakespeare), on silly minimum fee release clauses that Rudkin has allowed, and some of the new non-Walsh signings flop. The fans will turn on Rudkin, and the possibly owners, out of the frustration of blowing the best position this club has ever been in.

They had better have a plan and be very prepared to put some cash and thought into replacing these guys, as right now I feel like a complete mug for renewing my membership at such an increased cost.

Maybe he doesn't feel like he needs to be loyal to the club after what happened to his close friend NP.

Also Mendy is a CR buy, again maybe SW is a little peeved that Kante went and scouts see players that they have scouted as their own little projects.

This added to the fact that Everton have a different job offer plus the fact that they are embarking on a new project with big spending ahead

There are probably loads of little reasons:

More money

More responsibility

Nearer his family roots

What happened with Pearson

Not having the same role he used to here

Manager signing own players like Mendy

Hard work done on transfers like Kante scuppered with shit release clauses

To be honest he's probably just been offered a shit hot deal at Everton
