Walsh is rightly praised for Kante, Mahrez, Vardy but for every one of these there is also a Futacs, Kramaric, Robbie Nielson. If we really wanted to keep him, we'd have offered him the DOF role here and not kept the yes man on. worst post ever

He won't be a wealthy man and a big salary will be very tempting. suspense is killing me

It was the foundation of he greatest triumph in football. The fact we also bought a few mediocre players hardly counts against him. I hope I'm not looking like I'm having a go, I just don't agree that we can dismiss this as something minor.
st albans fox Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 On the plus side, at least we still know Rama is more reliable than rob Dorsett ........,,,
chapero82 Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 I'm really not looking forward to this season at all now
Russell sprout Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 He will be remembered(if he leaves) for the players he brought to the club and being a premier league winner, I would guess that's how he wants to be remembered rather than the scout of a team(on paper, not my opinion) That's a mid table team, my concern is more the impact it has on the team, with last season unexpected success, will they feel, like Walsh, that they have gone as far with us as they can and look to a new challenge
Max Power Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 As with losing any player, it's not about the loss, it's about how they are replaced. The trouble is I just fear this is an expanded role for Rudkin and they won't go searching for some top European transfer guru

Nickfosse Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 The only silver lining I can find in this very dark cloud is that we've had him for the last season, and what a season it was, and ever will be. I thought both he and Shakespeare would be on their way as soon as Claudio was appointed and Nigel got a job. At least we've had the ride of our lives built on his remarkable recruitment, and hopefully, a scouting set up which will continue to strengthen an already impressive squad. ALl that said, I'm very sorry he's on his way.

HankMarvin Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 The worrying thing is that it's more than just scouting SW will have been privy to, tatics sports science etc if he's leaves, his former employers unexpectedly won the league. Expect his brain to be picked on all levels. would be a top signing for any club even without his scouting knowledge, based on what he has learnt last season
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 Only this would happen to Leicester after winning the premier league.

If he goes, so do all our secrets and our list of future targets. If it's financial then that is crazy. He's worth more than any single player.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 Remember when that Saints fan came on here and said to be prepared to lose all our key players and we laughed him out the room? Yeah.
Callabinho Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 In all honesty ladies and gents we might be overreacting...how long has Walsh been at the club now? I'd imagine there is already a team established that takes care of the scouting by obtaining stats ect. We know because we've all seen the documentary, Steve was the head but that doesn't necessarily mean he was THE guy who finds all of the talent. The only concerns we should have is who goes with them, and the other concerning factor is that some of the senior staff clearly don't believe we have any longevity in this project. Surely if they did, they would be staying.

Yeah. Indeed, why I love football and Leicester City but hate the modern game.. The pillaging of teams like Leicester and Ston have as much to do with keeping them in their place as it does wanting their talent.

Yeah. So far we have lost Kante, Vardy has chosen to stay. Not sure what is happening but I hope we don't lose anymore. Southampton have already lost far more than what we have.

adam Posted 18 July 2016 Posted 18 July 2016 **** him. Sure we will get a new one. Claudio will have it covered. It won't be about money most likely to do with where he lives.
