SCHLUPP CONSIDERING TRANSFER REQUEST

Sky sources are telling us that Jeff Schlupp is now contemplating a transfer request.

We heard yesterday that the Leicester winger was "deeply unhappy" at not being allowed to talk to West Brom after they bid £12m for the player last Friday.

Sky sources told us that Leicester, whose manager Claudio Ranieri doesn't see Schlupp as a major part of his plans, weren't happy with the structure of that bid from West Brom.

Means they probably offered £6mill up front and £6m if they finish top 4. Like Palace offered for Benteke. If the bid is stupidly low the club has every right to reject it

Ranieri: "The market is open and we watch everything. If there's a good addition for the squad, something could happen."

French sports daily L'Equipe (via BBC): "Sporting Lisbon are preparing a bid for Utrecht's 22-year-old forward Sebastian Haller ... as a potential replacement for Islam Slimani"

How about Schlupp to West Brom and Slimani to City? Maybe Slimani wanted confirmation that Mahrez was staying before he would agree?

Thoughts?

yeah i know he was there on trial, you're calling him a mercenary because he would have gone even though he didn't. he's not a mercenary if he goes United and he didnt even go lol

He didn't go because he wasn't good enough simple.   The fact that he went at all ,shows  he has no allegiance to this club. My point is ALL football players are mercenary I can't for the life of me understand why you don't get that ?

Don't you just love that 'Sky Sources' quote?

They may need to invest some of my monthly fee in some new snouts.

Thing is, if we really want him to stay and he wanted to stay would he have been pulled out of the squad.

I still expect him to leave and presumably as that Sky article says, we weren't happy with the structure of the bid.

Slimani is being linked with West Brom.

Jeff prob can't consider what day it is let alone a transfer request.

also if he thinks he wants to go it prob means he wants to say. So that's good news.

As accurate on this issue, as the Mahrez situation.

They chose to use reporting incompetents, who are simply guessing, hoping

the information might have crudence or legs.

Sunday suppliment, Sky and BBC show to how  poor The quality of good chasing

new information, has become. Its lazy Incompetent  reporting.

20yrs ago, their own peers would Show them a bit more competence and choice

of material and fact needs more prudence.

Today like Estate agents, they throw any sort of crap out.

Honesty is not their 1st priority...

As stated Jeff ( schlupp ) went to man united hoping he would be bought by them . The fact that he wasn't  doesn't detract from the point that he would have gone like a shot.  Sure as hell no one is or is going to come in for Kingy or matty James . so their loyalty is highly unlikely to be tested . as for Wes well he knows his limits and again no one has been sniffing around him for a big time move . And lastly Kasper . Have a look at how much he is on and has been on with us
?  You really do need to get into the real world of modern day football.

Pretty sure Ranieri said that Schlupp has told him he's happy at Leicester and wants to stay, so not sure where Sky are getting their information from. I remember when they actually use to be reliable. 'Breaking sky news' means nothing these days

West Brom have admitted defeat in their £12million bid to sign Leicester City's Jeff Schlupp.

The West Midlands club had made four bids for the player with the latest being one of £12m, but all were rejected by City.

After a meeting between the City academy graduate and manager Claudio Ranieri, it was announced that Schlupp was staying at the King Power Stadium.

However, it was understood West Brom still had hopes of signing Schlupp before the transfer window shuts in 12 days' time.

But West Brom boss Tony Pulis today admitted defeat in their battle for Schlupp's signature.

He said: "We've been disappointed actually because we genuinely thought that Leicester were quite keen to move him on.

"He would have been an ideal player for us, he's got pace, a great left foot and he scores a few goals.

"But Leicester have decided that that's not the case and they want to keep him. He's Leicester's player, he's under contract, so we have to move on.

"We'd have been delighted, we know the kid would've come, but Leicester have decided they don't want to let him go."

Ranieri told the media at his wekly press conference yesterday that after speaking to Schlupp the player had told him he was happy to stay. "He is very happy. Jeff wants to stay. He stays with us," Ranieri said.

lol

We're actually mental for not letting him go against his wishes when we've got loads of cover in his positions having received an offer about 3 times more than he's actually worth.
