No real evidence ad far as n'zonzi is concerned, Claudio did not dismiss this yesterday - if it was a non story then he could have said as much. Clearly he wants it out there for whatever reason. (It's true/ smokescreen/ placate the fans) anyway, a few days left but I have the same feeling as late Jan. Hoping for something but expecting nothing
sm1 Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 A proven premiership player with European experience versus someone who can't even get into the Roma team. I hope Ranieri is right on this call because its vital we get the right person in at CM. This could be the single most important signing we make.
tsintskaro Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 "I don't know now (if club will bring in any more players)," said Ranieri. "How many days do we have? Five days, one week. Keep calm and look."Read more at http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/leicester-city-will-keep-calm-in-search-for-new-players-ahead-of-transfer-deadline-says-ranieri/story-29658271-detail/story.html#x4bbLmL4Bf1iRAgQ.99 i am sure there will be at least one new signing before market is closed and it will be CM

Transfer fee and wages aren't really connected. Doubt Mendy and Musa (our current most expensive transfers) are on much higher than 60k.

What has happened so far is text book uncertainty, what will happen in the future depends on the strength of Britain. Agree with this. Too many people watch BBC news and still thinks it's quality unbiased broadcasting. (Ask the Palestinians what they think). Anybody with an ounce of sense knew the first year/2 years would be iffy. It's really not rocket science. Brexit happened, voters voted. Accept result, deal with it and move on. Can we talk about football now please?

Callabinho Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 We've got to realise that if we want to dine with the big boys, you've got to bring everything to the table....last season won't happen again, enter the champions league with the squad as it is and something will falter....

Dine with the big boys? Haha. Funny analogy. Random, but funny. If you want to hang with the Sheppards you need some good sheep. If you want to wear the shoes comfortably you'd better get some decent socks. If you want to dip with the big boys you'd better get a sturdy biscuit. etc

Koke Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 Nzonzi would be a class signing. I'd pay the £25m fee for him. Stoke haven't quite been the same since he left. 27, PL experience, European experience. He ticks the boxes. Remember in our 1st PL season Stoke came to our place and did a job on us and Nzonzi was the best player on the pitch by a mile. Head and shoulders above anyone else.

Needs to happen, we have been crying out for a beast in centre mid for years.

ARM1968 Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 Kante was a super efficient machine. Don't think he was a beast.
richardsfoxes Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 I just don't want us to be thinking what if at the end of this season, im happy with the additions we've made but if im being honest i expected us to sign players who will improve the first team now with the position were in. I guess let's wait and see till Thursday and go from there.

Grewks Posted 26 August 2016 Posted 26 August 2016 The thing that is attracting me to N'zonzi is his physical size in all honesty. Gives us something totally different. I still don't think we score enough goals from midfield for us to remain a top side though. Players like Drinkwater need to score 5+ a season.

I've been bitterly dissapointed by our lack of transfer activity..whilst we didn't want to upset the core of the side we needed to add some real quality to build on last season, because that's what the rest of the 'big boys', have done. We've just ****ed about this summer.
