Jeffrey Schlupp wants West Brom move in January according to...

I know he's erratic, but I'd be sorry to see him go. Partly for the sentimental reason of his youth connection to the club.

But mainly because he provides an element of unpredictability that is entertaining, can sometimes be productive and can cause panic and chaos in opposition defences, creating opportunities for others.

Can quite understand why he's not starting many matches, though - and can quite understand why he'd want to move on in those circumstances.

Persuade him to bide his time on the bench, Claudio!

Don't get me wrong, I love Jeff but I wouldn't mind if we let him go. The thing is, if he has come out and "complained" about not getting minutes - the problem I see him having is this: What position does he play?

1. LB - Positionally I think he's a little naive.

2. LW - Probably his best position, but his end product is shite.

3. Striker - Just no.

So how is he going to get "minutes" when he doesn't really have a position?

His best position is LWB, for all the reasons you have mentioned, he needs to play for a team that play 5 at the back, look at Victor Moses at the minute.

If he plays as a WB he has a centre half covering him, so he doesn't need to be great position wise, but has the legs and energy to get back, and going forward, yes his end product can be rubbish but as a WB it's less obvious than if you are meant to be an out and out winger who's delivery needs to be spot on.

I thought last season v Swansea was possibly his best performance in a city shirt, but for the sort of money they are talking, then he has to go if we get over 20 million quid for him and leo, it's a no brainer. Unless we end up back in the championship, god forbid.

If someone wants to spend over 10 million on him then he should be gone by 00:01 new year's day. I really thought he could turn out to be a solid player but I think he has actually gone backwards. I'd rather Gray, Kapustka or Chilwell get his spot on the bench.

If he wants out then there's absolutely no dilemma. I don't think he's played like he wants to be here this season either.

I do love Jeff but he's looked awful this season. If this is true, it's refreshing to see he wants a move to get first team football, even though he is getting the occasional CL appearance and could just sit on his arse picking up a good wage.

Have always backed him and was one of those glad he didn't leave in the summer, but he has gone massively backwards this season, and as has been mentioned it looks like he doesn't want to be here anymore.

Someones clearly willing this to happen judging by one comment.

The way he's played this season doesn't look like he's up to Championship standard let alone Premier League. Every time he gets the ball its head down and runs into someone and the opposition instantly have the ball back. How on earth is this bloke a pro?

The quicker he goes the better as he's starting to hinder the progress of more talented members of the squad.
