Arriba Los Zorros Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I'd be sad to let him go. I thought when he got a run of games last season and season before he offered us real threat and penetration going forward, if he becomes anything like that player we'd regret letting him go. Still, will be get a look in with our other options?
AKCJ Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 Sorry to see an academy graduate go but he really isn't good enough and 12m is daylight robbery. Even in this market. Thanks for the laughs and the occasional moments of brilliance Jeff
RumbleFox Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I love Jeff and part of me wants him to stay as I think somewhere in there is a very good player, certainly good enough for the Premier League. I feel though that it may be best for both parties if he moves on as he needs to be playing week in week out. I do wonder if this might be the reason he has been getting so much game time? To make him more sellable? Anyway, good luck Jeff, you are a legend. We love ya! Rumble. X
CockneyFox Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I get the feeling he could develop into a solid Prem player with regular game time, but he's not going to get that here. Cash in and move on!
ScouseFox Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 he is literally just in the way now. he used to be absolutely rubbish but occasionally funny and we had nothing better to do than play him and watch him fu ck everything up continually. now we've moved on from that shit and we need at least semi competent footballers in the squad, let alone the first team. get rid. pay them 12 mill to take him. anything. just don't play him ahead of our better players again, please god.
Ric Flair Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I can see them going elsewhere given he's off to AFCON. We've missed a right trick but I'd still be prepared to let him go for free if needs be.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 Schlupp on his day can be excellent, but here at City I don't think he's going to have the opportunity much now which is a little shame. His pace/movement going forward, and his defensive ability can make him a very decent prospect for clubs. I was worried in the summer when it came out he wanted to go but we didn't let him - and what came to mind at the time was, will he be playing for us and not wanting to be at the club and I'm afraid that it what it seems like this season when I've seen him play. So overall he does want to move to West Brom or any others, I'd let him.
STUHILL Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I was one of those saying we should hold onto him in the Summer, as thought he could still offer us something, but although the whole team has been performing poorly, he has been one of the poorest and showing very little signs of being a useful asset to us like he was before. If he does want a move, then I have no problems with letting him go now, especially if we get decent money for him. We have Albrighton, Gray, Kaputska and Musa, who can all play LM. I also think Ulloa should go this January if we want to get a decent amount for him. He has looked very sluggish when coming on, and Vardy, Slimani, Musa and Okazaki are all ahead of him, with also switching to a 1 man striker a decent option for us, with players like Mahrez and Gray able to play the no.10 role. 2 out, plus Kaputska loan deal to Championship club, and then 2-3 in hopefully.
foxy boxing Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 he h been at Leicester a long time and his progress at times has been snail like, has some good games but usually follows it up with some really poor games. he has never really nailed down a starting spot or a position in his time and yes i know he has played a lot of games for us but how many really has he stood out in. if we can get a better replacement then let's take the money. i really can't see him drastically improving either here or at another club. he will always be remembered here especially the title winning squad but he wants to be playing week in week out and maybe he won't here

Sorry Wymes but the only potential he has is to make you look silly. Top end championship is his level not the prem. He may look a little better with game time. But if we get 10m and free his wage up it allows us more room for better players.
Fox92 Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 Let him go if they offer a good fee again. Anywhere between £12-£15million is good for me. People talk all they want about his "pace" and "strength" but he never uses it. Must be the only player in the World to potentially have the attributes but never actually exercise them. Fed up of seeing him just wandering about in midfield.
Countryfox Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I think the overwhelming consensus is to let him go .... FT has spoken !!
bridport007 Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 Sell him or put him behind the pie stall.

How we're conducting business this season, we'll probably end up selling Simpson to them for £5 million and signing 2 more striker/wingers
Kitchandro Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I can't see why we wanted to keep him in the summer. Surely someone at our club can see what a waste of space he is.
Swarles Barkley Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 Guys west brom fans might be reading this forum... no schlupp is great...please dont go for all that money
RowlattsFox Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I was happy to keep him in summer, but he has been terrible since coming back from injury and just seems to be getting in the way and stopping better more technical players in Gray (and hopefully Kapustka) from getting game time. His 'versatility' means Ranieri likes to have him on the bench though.
WigstonWanderer Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I don't think is heart is in it here any more, so probably better off going where he can get some playing time.
AyewJoking Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 i was thinking to myself today how jeff might put in a transfer request and leave in january i'm in two minds, i guess part of me still hopes jeff gets his head right and becomes the absolute beast that he can be and even if he never develops the necessary intelligence he could still be a major weapon for us. another part thinks we should sell him and free up a squad space and some wages. west brom is probably schlupps level if he consistently produces his best form, which leads to me to wonder where we see ourselves as a club now? are we moving on to a higher level where we only want high level players or are we still at a similar level to a club like west brom where we hang onto a limited player in the hope they do the business often enough to help keep us in this league?
Clever Fox Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 I've always been a fan of Schlupp as he showed a lot of potential but never really improved like some of the others have, namely Kasper DD Vardy. With the physical attributes he has he should really be a top player but something is lacking. I'm not sure if he has wall to wall Carpet upstairs as some of his decision making is bizarre at times. We're moving upwards so it's time to replace him with someone of better quality and more consistency. The money on offer is too good to turn down also. But it's the right move for everyone.
RoyFox Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 Jeff sadly has one of the lowest footballing IQ's possible. Great athlete, but even he doesn't know what he's going to do next on the pitch. His times up, good servant. Over to you Pulis.
langtonfox Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 4 hours ago, The whole world smiles said: What a bonkers pre season it was sold kramaric and inler for next to nothing and refused a combined 25 million for ulloa and schluup Agree totally
VLC86 Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 He's hilarious when we are winning week in week out with him in the team, when you go 4-0 before half time and see he is still sauntering around while having the technical ability of a disabled hamster it isn't such a laugh. I will probably clap him when he comes back, not that it matters as he won't have a ****ing clue what's happening.
MPH Posted 16 November 2016 Posted 16 November 2016 Its time for him to go., Hate to say it. Ulloa needs to go too... The squad needs freshening up and 20 million+ for those two is obscene...
