The question is, what is going to change? I doubt we will bring in the sort of player we need and if we play the same way, what difference will it make? Those are the big questions we have.
Father Ted Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 I'd rather we lose 3-2 but press high up the pitch, play a high line and go for it from the off than have to watch that dross and lose 1-0. Away form will not improve any time soon.
Collymore Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 I think Bournemouth will be found out this season. We could have easily nicked a draw today at the worst we've been for a while, and that's pretty extreme considering how woeful we've been recently. Bournemouth actually played like a championship/top league 1 club tonight but the commentators on that TV channel thought they'd played out of their skin! That Francis was probably the worst player in the Prem I've seen in a while. Afobe looked like he'd be lucky to get into the Mansfield side... Cook looked handy to be fair. Wilshire looked like he was running on a treadmill, I honestly think his career is over. We made Pugh look much better than he is... We were utter shite. We would have struggled against a Conference side first half.
stretch1965 Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Total shite, King only has one good game in every eight which was Saturday. Come back kaspar and drinkwater and play 3 5 1 away from home.
J.Lisemore Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 CSKA must be laughing their heads off, I'm not giving up on Musa but he hasn't shown enough at all.

eunmac Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Last season we played some nice long 'passes' (and we used the wings). This season it's endless hit and hope hoof balls from the back. Has to change.

This is exceptionally worrying. We can moan about this player and that, but it boils down to poor management. He's not getting the best from players any more. We rely on the opposition making mistakes as simply as that. It took Pearson two thirds of a season to realise you need three in midfield if your defenders aren't comfortable on the ball. How long is it going to take Ranieri?

Huth, Ulloa and Vardy should all probably have done better. Okazaki had a very decent chance on the edge of the box. Aside from the goal and a fairly simple shot from the edge of the box, I don't remember Bournemouth creating too much. Absolutely loved Wilshire's tackle on Kingy, proper old school hard challenge. We look pretty bad but I'm making decent money betting against us, so it's not all bad. Wilshere is quality, especially for an average side. We should have gone for him. At least we'd have someone that would drive and create chances.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Who has been this league longer? Bournemouth look miles better than us, shocking display. Wouldnt it be nice if you had a midfield who can actually pass the ball, Everbody looks so uncomfortable and play is always rushed, passing is embarrassing at the level. Joke from start to finish.
Vlad the Fox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 We're not fit enough to consistently put in the high octane performanances we managed week after week last season.

Introduce long balls without Slimani in the second half. Slimani would lose headers to Wilshere, he's powderpuff in the air. Ulloa won more headers in 7 minutes tonight than Slimani has from long balls all season.
Izzy Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 I think I'm in denial. It can't be possible to go from PL winners to being in a relegation fight in just a few months.
sk3forme Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Can't believe how often they conned the ref with the diving & laying on the floor from nothing tackles.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 It just seems we are tactically inept. Credit where credits due, last season we had the magic formation/tactics but this year we seem to have one way or lose. Sunderland Hull Watford WBA Bournemouth to take no points from those fixtures in any season is not acceptable but each case they've had our number for 90 minutes. That can't be ok.
Hammo Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Ranieri's craven, cowardly tactics in the first half - sitting deep and beckoning an average Bournemouth side into our final third - were beyond belief given the momentum we were carrying into the game from Saturday. What's the matter with him? Why not attack them from the start? Baffling. And what about the performances of our new signings? Hernandez, Zieler, Slimani, Musa. Garbage, all of them. Same bang-average standard as Albrighton, King and Okazaki. But Claudio is the biggest villain of all tonight.

I don't know if they were told not to leave their own half or what!!!! Ah...there you have it If I'd paid decent money to go and watch that shite away from home I'd be wanting a refund. Fed up of saying the same old bloody thing. Where is the creativity in this bloody team?
Eskay Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 This was absolutley awful...... Long ball the whole time. We looked like a championship team in a cup tie. We shouldn't have taken Slimani off. Should have kept him on and instead played to his strengths. Hernandez getting a rough ride on here but he wasn't too bad considering he was just covering. At least he actually gets the ball into the box. Albrighton was awful. We talk about his defensive skills but they were non existant today. He's turd. Shinji is awful when he has to think about something. Gray and Musa must be scratching their heads.....what do they need to do for a run in the team.
matty2702 Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Watching us this season, not just tonight, we have one player who is comfortable on the ball... mahrez. He can receive the ball under a little bit of pressure and keep possession. I'm not criticising, but everyone else seems to want to get rid of the ball and pass the responsibility onto someone else as quick as they possibly can. When I watch us I have no confidence in us manintaing possession for more than 4 passes and am simply waiting us for a player to panic and lose the ball. You can argue that last season was no different in terms of set up and tactics, but I'm sure we put together some pretty effective passages of play at times and were not JUST relying on a hopeful ball over the top..??
