Bournemouth 1 - 0 Leicester Post match thread

1 point from a possible 18 against Hull, West Brom, Sunderland, Watford, Bournemouth and Middlesboro'. Feeble from front to back bar bits from Vardy and Shinji doing some graft. We're the worst side in the division to watch without a single question and what Demarai Gray has to do to get on the pitch I've no idea.

Fuchs was atrocious, Zieler was clueless, Wes and Huth were weak, King was slow and sloppy.

I'm amazed at just how far we've regressed, we don't even look like we attempt to play football anymore.

Just be that thought we deserved something tonight then? Created chances, was a night of missed opportunities rather than no chances at all. We move on stoke will be similar would expect drinkwater and kasper back in

I'm really struggling to stay positive. Our away form is fvckin terrible this season and I hate the football we're serving up. We look really lost at times and our passing is woeful. Can't see the light at the end of the tunnel right now. Concerned, worried, frustrated, angry. I believe in CR but he needs to get his act together pretty damn quick.

How can we go from the best team in the premier league in our history to arguably the worst. I mean, even when we nearly got relegated a few years ago we were better than this.

Still persist on a 4-4-2 wherever you go.

Eh?

Persist on a passing game with Slimani in the first half.

Introduce long balls without Slimani in the second half.

Eh?

Bring on Ulloa as a fourth attacker in the 82nd minute when Bournemouth have hardly threatened in the entire 2nd half.

Eh?

And some players were a shadow of their former self on Saturday. Well, basically all of them. It didn't help that Amartey and King in the middle produced nothing of note, apart from giving the ball away too often and shying away from tackles. It's not working.

But I'll say it again, we'll go through the motions for the rest of the season. Expect some brilliant performances, but mostly crap ones.

We deserve to be where we are right now.

You can't win football matches consistently without possession, I know we did last season but all the good teams in history have the ball and break teams down.

Slimani and Vardy in a 4-4-2 with us having a third of the ball every match will not consistently win us football matches.

Ranieri appears to be looking a dinosaur in today's game.

The only player comfortable on the ball is Mahrez and I pity him in this side, he should be a player that is given the ball not spend most of the match chasing it with defensive responsibilities in a 4-4-2.

Top,please put us out of our misery,a change must be made.why is it that on Saturday we played like last season with chasing down players, played with the ball on the floor and showed aggression.then when we play away we revert to long balls, sitting deep and let teams run at them, bad defending.

The fact that people are describing it as "not that bad" shows how far we've fallen. That would have been one of our worst 4 or 5 performances last season. Reminded me of the Liverpool game at Anfield this time last year.

Happy to give him time, but Ranieri seems happy to do absolutely nothing about us being utter muck, is getting dictated to by the players and doesn't seem to care we don't even attempt to play football any more.

This is exceptionally worrying. We can moan about this player and that, but it boils down to poor management. He's not getting the best from players any more.

This as well, it's not just the results (in fact it's not really the results at all) we are just dire to watch. Boring, negative football when we've got one of the best players in the world on the wing.

Not unexpected, we are atrocious away from home. This is why we'll stay near the bottom three, we just have to hope our home form keeps up.

Feel for the fans who've spent £240 to see one point.

Personally thought Amartey was one of our better players.

King, on the other hand...

Agreed, King disappears during large portions of our games, I've tried to give Musa the benefit of doubt, but he is awful. Our back 4 today including Fuchs were terrible. Back to basics, sort out the defense, then the midfield. We still have Drinkwater and (perhaps 1 day) Mendy. Albrighton needs to be replaced by Gray. We actually have major problems here, no team ethos like last year. Ranieri seems just a bit too lenient, don't ask the players what formation they want to play, you are the manager, you tell them what formation will work best for each game. Play the right players.

On a Leicester City forum, given what occurred only months ago, and indeed at the weekend, that is quite an assertion.

In fairness not that bad is about how much people are making it sound like we got outclassed by Bournemouth. We didn't. It was a shit, dull game, each keeper had one passage to be involved in - Boruc was strong, Zieler was not. It was like so many games between 2009-2013 under Sven and Pearson when he first returned, or countless more 2004-2008.

I thought that was odd in his post match interview, why let the players dictate formation when the away performances are so bad. He is the manager for a reason.

Considering how poor we looked, we created enough decent chances to win that, never mind draw. Huth, Ulloa and Vardy should all probably have done better. Okazaki had a very decent chance on the edge of the box.

Aside from the goal and a fairly simple shot from the edge of the box, I don't remember Bournemouth creating too much.

Absolutely loved Wilshire's tackle on Kingy, proper old school hard challenge.

We look pretty bad but I'm making decent money betting against us, so it's not all bad.
