Noticed that amartey picked up Carroll at set plays last week and did ndidi pick up lukaku today?

are our centre halves considered too slow at corners/free kicks now to mark the opposition strikers for fear they will give away a pen?

I think you are right about Amartey. It was rumoured we were going to use him there against Everton at home with Huth being out as he played there for Copenhagen too. He's definitely got the physical attributes to play the position and based on recent games, think he is reading the game better all the time. He'd definitely need an older, wiser defender to lead him though to learn it and would likely make mistakes whilst he gets to grips with the role in the way Baily for Man U has had to do.

Though inconsistent, he has some very good performances in CM so he is quite versatile, but I would like us to get a top class Centre Back to ultimately take over as the defensive lynch pin once Morgan and Huth can't hack it any more.

Yeah, will try and see if I can catch him on AFCON too.  Think he looks very composed, good header of the ball, can tackle, and can pass.  Would think he might need to beef up a little more to play as a CB full time, but think he really would be great there.

Who was Huth marking? And Ndidi was marking Lukaku.

Would love it if we could turn Amartey into our CB and so have him, Mendy and N'diddi all playing in the same team. We would also only need to find one other young talented CB to partner him for replacing Morgan and Huth eventually (maybe soon!)

He's playing today against Torino. I doubt he'd be playing if he was moving this window?

Why? Ndidi kept playing after pretty much signing for us. His club don't want to sell him, so will obviously keep playing him. However, if we bid a decent amount and the player fancies it then they'll sell.

3 corners away at OT may give you your answer.

Give them more money and Benalouane free of charge lol

That's what I'd do throw Benny into the Deal. It makes sense to get him off the payroll if he's not going to be playing.

Has it occurred to you that the Italians, having got rid of the fella, may not want him back!

He went on loan to Fiorentina last season but was crocked so for a club of that stature to be interested must mean he's rated reasonably well in Italy.

It could certainly solve Leicester's and Sassuolo's problems if they have an interest in Benalouane and would be a mutually beneficial deal.

Of course I did, Assuming a deal can be agreed all round then it makes sense.  They need a replacement for Acerbi  and Benny might be a good option for them.

Then again he might not want to leave Leicester.

it just sends  a message out.

" We will not sell for that offer and we are happy to keep him"

so we either have to offer more or move on to a different target..

lol it's like the new made up social feed on Football Manager 2017 in here tonight! Never seen the lad play but "Surely we can do better than this guy" and "Step back, rethink and go again... better options out there!"

Literally word for word FM!
