He is that good !!! Very solid with the ball at his feet, calm & cool under pressure. A natural leader who will only get better with time. Would look very good alongside Maguire & give us the potential of having England's CB's playing for us.

Tend to agree. Never played particularly well when I've watched him closely. Has kept numerous clean sheets at this level in a poor side though.

Exactly. The injuries are stacking up for Wes. The back is reoccurring and he looked in pain yesterday.

Hoedt or Gibson should be our priority imo. Both young & most importantly for me left footed centre halves. Hoedt would be ideal choice for Me. Huge frame & plays a beautiful long ball which i could see linking up well with Vards.

We definately need one more CB and that's no disrespect for Morgan but just that we need competition for places and look to the future also

The problem now is that we signed Maguire for £17 million.  Paying £20 - £25 million for Gibson would mean he has to be better than Maguire, which he isn't!  Tough one.

we only got Maguire for £17m because he was in the last year of his contract would have been 25-30m if he was on alonger deal.

Just give Darnell Johnson a first team spot. Promote from within. He's a youth England international, Leicester born, tall, mobile raw diamond. Can cover right back as well. Save your money, job done.

The money paid for a player is not his footballing value, but how much he's worth to the selling club.

Obviously I'm assuming that the graduate can do the job. Bringing kids thru the academy is the cost effective way of running a club.

I think that the structure of the deal was 12 mill up front with 5 mill add ons ( which if based on appearances I'm guessing we'll end up paying) - incredible
