Clear red, nasty that...

Pogba's challenge one of the worst I've seen for a while. Could have broken the other player's leg. Shame it is just a 3 match ban deserves 5 really for that.

Papers say Big Sam is targeting N'Zonzi, Deeney and Jonny Evans in January ...    Sounds like he just had a quick word with Walshy ...    He had an eye on them when he was still here ...   Would we be interested now ??   Having had a good thunk about it ..   I'd say yes and have all three.   I bet some of you would disagree ...

So where are the people who were raving about Huddersfield, Brighton, Newcastle and all the others whilst ragging on us. We've just beaten the latest FT craze team Burnley. Guys a season is 38 games.

We're now in the top half and still in the League Cup (and FA cup).

I think it looked worse than it looked..".intentially"   I reckon it was the follow through and the (Forgot the word) that took him through.

He was running he couldt just pull out, and the victims movement meant Pogba's foot had nowhere else to go.

In Rugby and football, there is sometimes nasty intention and players try to hide it, within their movement, but I do see more

unfortunate accidental outcomes, than intended. Pogba and D.Ali have natural expressions, that they always seem guilty...

I cant blame the ref either, nor xxxx TV angles, but people and panels should take natural movement and a players momentum

into account. I for once..actually thought it wasnt intentional, in comparison that Spurs handoff with elbow was more red, but

Looked less dangerous...Perceptions  of percpetives I suppose....

No I agree ..its a good call, but I suppose it depends how he gets the squad to perform before then.

He like Puel, has to see what real quality and Potential he has, and how he can utilise those

for him, untried potential...You watch Rooney and Keane refind consistency in their form...

Everton do have a good 1st 15 squad..

Personally don't think we're desperate for any of those players at the moment.

N'zonzi fine but Ndidi, Iborra, Silva (soon) - he'd have to wait for his turn as it'd be unfair to skip the queue the way our midfield is starting to work together.

Deeney - nah. We already have a Deeney 'type' player in Slim (who's actually better than Deeney imo, just needs more games) - so Deeney wouldn't make it into the team either.

Evans - couldn't hurt to have another bit of quality at the back but we've got options there as the moment, he wouldn't walk into the team and he didn't impress me that much when we played WBA.

It's funny - we were crying out for these players earlier in the year but I now put that mostly down to desperation because of how bad we looked. Under a good manager we look a lot tighter and I'm way less inclined to feel the need to rush-buy average players to try and rectify the situation.

Do we have a real number 10 ? ...    Slim not even on the bench yesterday ..    Have we got a real replacement or alternative if anything happened to Ndidi ??  ....   And who is our cover or indeed someone on a par with Wes and Harry ...   ??    Dragovic ??     I know we won't go for any of them but I think at least one would get straight in the team.

I notice we're only 2 points ahead of Everton which seems weird as whilst we were a bit meh for the first 8 games or so we never seemed to hit the depth of crapness that they managed before fat Sam got the gig

the answer is the points we've coughed up in drawn games pretty much all of which were against sides I would expect us to beat comfortably now . I would count that as 8 points lost (probably only Huddersfield was a point gained) which would put as on the same total as Arsenal.

There's so many inconsistent team in the league that, with Palace improving, anyone could be sucked into a relegation battle as a consequence.

Just glad Puel has made a positive impact on the team straightaway.

Moss deserves the sack for that.

Radio, TV and the referee all disagree with you.

Youre obviously both right though

I thought Smith was going over before the challenge so I can see why he was booked. Replays looked different.

Result suits us.

He was looking for the penalty and was on the way down. There was no need to "dive" he was imminently going to be wiped out, instead he was already flopping over before the contact.
