Shinji did work.

 

Vardy had a few chances as soon as Shinji came on. Had we had him on from the start may have been a different game. Disappointing from Shakespeare.

Okazaki should have been on earlier; felt like we played to draw.

In that sense, we should have seen a more attacking setup. Ulloa and Vardy don't seem to compliment each other well.

Everyone went on about our games in hand, they were Spurs and Arsenal! We were never going to get anything out of them. We MUST be West Brom, it's as simple as that.

Anyway, on to the game. Boy I hate Arsenal. I really hope they miss out on Europe this season now. 

 

We weren't great but should have had a point. Drinky needs at least a one game miss. He's been pointless the last few games. King looks like an all rounder dynamo compared to him. Benny and Huth going beyond him is a joke. So ponderous on the ball. 

 

We defended well today and deserved a point. Benny and Huth plus Simpson and Fuchs played well. Jamie ran but was so isolated. Shinji all hustle and bustle

Outstanding defensively and pretty poor going forward. Lots of wasteful balls. Arsenal are bang average at the moment. We were unlucky to lose though and deserved a point.

Match Summary,

 

Defended for 85 mins

 

Arsenal got very very lucky and scored via a deflection, they celebrated like they won the Champions League 2017.

 

Foxes started to attack 87 mins, Arsenal started to panic so they resorted to cheating.

 

Sanchez started rolling around clutching his face, even though the ball hit his shoulder.

 

Sanchez nearly got knocked out by a very angry Mr Huth.

I thought it was a good defensive display a flukey goal, I would just have liked to see Gray come on for Albrighton earlier rather than reactive to their goal, we needed a goal to get anything out of this game, an really the game wasn't to dissimilar to last year's fixture aside from defending with 11 rather than 10.

Basically this. Poor tactics by Shakey. I thought we had turned the corner with Shakey but these where Ranieri tactics all over. No closing down, no pressure, just sitting in our own area waiting to concede.
