Wouldn't surprise me. I think it was under Guardiola and Soriano that Barca first started doing this and it wouldn't surprise me if they were bringing in the same philosophy to City. It's not in the spirit of the game but is a great idea from a business point of view. Like a loan deal but with the potential for healthy profit.

brucey Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/06/21/west-ham-insider-talks-are-back-on-with-iheanacho-after-man-city-lowered-fee-for-buy-back/ Known and respected for having inside knowledge about West Ham transfer stories, and issues about the club @ExWHUemployee told Man City Watch, that West Ham resumed talks with the 20 year old after City lowered their fee for the buy back. Q: What’s the status on Kelechi Iheanacho to West Ham? A few weeks ago it looked a dead cert, now Leicester are odds-on at the bookies and things have gone a little quiet. I understand City’s demand for a buy-back clause could be causing problems? Answer – The problem with Iheanacho, like you say, is that City have demanded a buy-back clause to be part of the deal. The player himself doesn’t want to leave and this is also seen as a way of appeasing the transfer. The buy-back clause is said to be quite low and with Kelechi making it clear he only really wants to stay in Britain so he can obtain citizenship – and this has made us rethink our offer. A bid has been made and we are still keen but further negotiations are still required.
JimmyB Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 Surely West Ham / we want the buy-back fee increasing or removing? Hmm.

brucey Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 If this does happen, I think his role will be Vardy's young understudy (aka what we wanted Musa to be)

FrankieADZ Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 good ol' Percy, one of the few sources that you can usually put your money on with this things, fingers crossed this one comes off, could be one hell of a signing for us
Max Power Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 Keep your eyes on Sanchez to Man City. Then I reckon we get him. We will pay the money and having a couple of his mates will swing it.
Ozwin Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 Rudkin with dat 50p and half a snickers bar buy back-clause.
Thracian Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 One of the threads mentions Giroud and I really can't understand why we wouldn't be interested in this fellow - he's class A kind or aerial Gerd Muller.
SheppyFox Posted 21 June 2017 Author Posted 21 June 2017 We need some ITK updates up in here up in here
Stevosevic Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 Hopefully pals with Ndidi, same age and play in the national side together so maybe they are.
lcfcsnow Posted 21 June 2017 Posted 21 June 2017 Anyone know if he plays the withdrawn role or are we going to go yet another season without a proper link player.

You know I love your posts sir and I like you as a person, but you're of a vintage to know that Giroud is not fit to lace Gerd Muller's boots. One of the best finishers in the history of the game. Scored to win a World Cup. Giroud on the the other hand?!?

Apparently he can play the withdrawn role, but becomes much more of an extrovert when he goes out on the piss with Musa and Ndidi.
