MPH Posted 18 June 2017 Posted 18 June 2017 I can confirm though that Top will not put a second bid in until this thread reaches 20 pages.

smudger63 Posted 18 June 2017 Posted 18 June 2017 Rather have Smalling. A class above Evans in my opinion.

Edingleyfox Posted 18 June 2017 Posted 18 June 2017 Telegraph usually reliable but cannot see WBA selling Evans to ourselves particularly if they are also interested in Smalling. If we could attract Smalling that would really send a message that are getting our business done early and aiming well into top half of the table - it might also help us get Sigurdsson etc Really think it is better to spend money early on and get a good pre-season.If we delay I can see us actually spending more at last minute inflated prices as happened last season

les-tah Posted 18 June 2017 Posted 18 June 2017 Can't think this is anything other than too push another deal through... was too random

However it is great to see we're after 2 centre backs.
Lcfcwigstonblue Posted 19 June 2017 Posted 19 June 2017 Reading the West Brom forum they rate him very highly. I think he will be a very good signing.
sk3since03 Posted 19 June 2017 Posted 19 June 2017 Can't complain with this, another solid centre back with proven experience! Given the choice though i'd rather go in for Chris Smalling

Hmmmm I'm not so sure ..... I played CB for over 20 years (at a crap level), and was far better on the right than on the left...... But at that standard getting to the pitch first and standing on the right was sufficient to bag that spot!!! although its very different i can still see a player having a preferred side.
