Mahrez to .......................?

If he performs excellently on Saturday, no doubt the big clubs (possibly even Manchester United themselves) may be tempted to put in a late massive offer in.

The club need to give him an improved contract asap imo.

This will start a sh1tstorm on here !

What would the point be of a new contract, his got years to run and isn't happy he feels he has achieved all he can here.

More money isn't going to change that, it will just make him more of a risk as other clubs will have to match the salary when he does leave.

I think his contract is already more than generous.

That is not the worst approach.....whether the board would support this not sure as it has ramifications but your point of showing he is wanted almost at any cost I concur with....he is a rare talent to which almost all prem clubs would want to retain and we should put up a fight as he is irreplaceable!!

He's done himself no harm in first game or so, and the fact he's gotten his head down and continued to train, unlike the likes of Dembele who striked from dortmund. Gained respect from me for not kicking his toys out the pram and just getting on with his job

I wonder if perhaps Dortmund could be interested now that they've lost Dembele...

German Teams do not shell 50m very often, if at all.

Every record can fall at any time...

Julian Draxler (Schalke to Wolfsburg) and Corentin Tolisso (Lyon to Bayern) cost each more than 40 million Euro (£37m).

Please remember that never before in history has a Bundesliga team sold a player for this amount of money. They'll want to re-invest wisely and Dortmund are a fantastic, very well-supported club.

Not that far-fetched to think they'll come knocking on our doors soon...

I think he's already made up his mind to stay at Leicester, bid or no bid.

I think the owners have bunged him a few quid on the sly.

I hate to say this, but I have a bad feeling that we're going to lose both Mahrez and Drinky in the coming days. ?

I agree - there is interest from several clubs and if any of them watched Riyad tonight he is worth every penny of £50m - imagine him in a team that dominates possession and can play it to him further up the pitch - he would be frightening!
