How do you know what direction we are being taken in and how do you know there's a distinct lack of a plan?

I don't think Ulloa has ever refused to play for us.

It's fairly easy to assume with less than 2 weeks to go, for a club that is notoriously poor at getting signings over the line as the end of the window approaches that there's little backup to Mahrez. He's a gifted and rare player that isn't easily replaced, but at the same time we've no real alternative within our squad or a different way of playing to boost our creativity without him. We aren't a possession based team, we don't have creative central midfielders particularly either. It's fairly easy to be very worried should we lose Mahrez.

I would expect shakey to have a plan. Imo, if Riyad leaves we don't replace him but change to 3-5-2 and attempt to steamroller the opposition.

I actually think that's the formation we should be playing now right Mahrez in a free role behind Vardy and Iheanacho so yeah it's probably the only option.

I don't think we overpower with Riyad behind the strikers. imo, he is too lightweight in the middle areas against most prem teams. three proper midfielders allows us to compete in that congested area

You're absolutely right. Mahrez provides the role of 2 players. He's our only creative spark and who dictates our inventive play but he also causes no end of havoc as a winger. If we lost him and brought in Gray then we still miss the creativity he provides which you'd then look for from your central midfield and we don't have any there either.

It is really surprising reading these posts suggesting we are lost without Mahrez. Mahrez has been terrific for us, but he has also been inconsistent, low-energy, indifferent to defending, and incredibly stubborn with the ball leading to quite a bit of dispossession. If we find a way to get Nacho, Vardy, Slimani, and Gray on the field at once -- possibly with Nacho playing as a no. 10 the way he grew up doing -- we may well score more goals.

But even if you think me daft, we all know that the team has had plenty of time to identify replacement players. If Mahrez goes, it will likely be because we can follow on and buy a player before the window closes to replace him. Let's wait to see who we get before we start worrying the team has no plan. I see a very clear direction, personally.

If Arsenal have a forward out for a while with injury any time soon, they'd likely to push their interest over this.

But, now, don't believe they see him as a key transfer target due to having Walcott and Wenger publically stating both that he has faith in Oxlade-Chamberlain to do well and also thinks he's a strong player.

And also can see Mahrez realising the two clubs that had stronger interest in him have presumably gone off the boil with this.

He seemed happy at the weekend at the King Power, and thus believe that he knows he's well-supported here, he's a legend and that the team with him included can still achieve success this season.

Agree. I hope he'll never play for either Arsenal (for as long as Wenger is still there) nor Spurs. I am happy he is staying at Leicester and I believe, as very naive as he is, has learned a very valuable lesson about trust.

Craig Shakespeare praises mahrez

His teammates praises him

The fans praised him and wanted him

I think it's better for mahrez to finish his  career at LCFC as he became with the seasons a cornerstone and with him staying will became Leicester legend and for sure LCFC will return to European  Competitions

Mahrez to stay a LCFC

Officially, Roma's bid hasn't been rejected yet. Just saying.

Lemar deal off or not happening. Expect Arsenal to come mooching and make derogatory bid shortly.

Leicester just released there training video and no sign of mahrez!!

He's on the very first photo looking all smiley. Almost like the club are making a point.

Still think we'll do well to hold on to him mind.

God I've loved watching him play over the last 3½ years.

No pong in him joining Roma.

They’ll be out of the UCL T the group stage.
