Grebfromgrebland Posted 27 August 2017 Posted 27 August 2017 This doesn't add up at all. Mahrez to Arsenal or Gray to Bournemouth Townsend to Leicester If we're bidding for Townsend that means Gray is leaving. No way would we see Townsend as a replacement for Mahrez there's no comparison.

Nick Posted 27 August 2017 Posted 27 August 2017 Talking on reports from the papers on SKY about it - 28 million pounds. Wow - is that our Mahrez replacement or just an addition to the squad? If we sell Gray for the same amount is it necessarily bad business....? I don't get Townsend - I've seen him play brilliantly in an England shirt and the following week people tell me he was rubbish - whats the story?

Yeah as much as Gray is not a finished product by a long way, i would take him starting over Townsend. Fairly sure if we sell Mahrez and buy and start Townsend then Gray will hand in a transfer request in Jan.

splinterdream Posted 27 August 2017 Posted 27 August 2017 I thought Townsend was a good punt last summer off season as he was going for around £10m and we needed squad filling players but £28m is way way too much imo.
