On our way... Posted 19 August 2017 Posted 19 August 2017 £4.60 a pint for a warm weak Singha. Decided now to go to the Blues bar across the road. Are the club getting a little greedy?
Wymsey Posted 19 August 2017 Posted 19 August 2017 What else do you expect? Inflated prices but poor quality drink/food has been the case for a while at the club.
Danizen Posted 19 August 2017 Posted 19 August 2017 I haven't had a beer from the ground in years. They water it down so much, it could double up as a homeopathic remedy for anxiety.
NewquayFox Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 Stop buying it and the club will have to take notice, eat a pie on the way to the ground and have an extra pint/soft drink in the pub before the game (you might miss the first goal though) and the same after.... Up the City....

Voll Blau Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 The solution is simple. Drink somewhere better.
rn9013 Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 I've got to admit I'll never understand these sorts of complaints. This side of the club is simply a business. They are charging what people will pay. If I went to a bar and ordered 2 pints of lager and got £1 back from a tenner, I wouldn't be going back in a hurry. Personally I'd rather help out local surrounding businesses on matchday anyway. The club make enough from me in membership/ticket/retail sales.
boots60 Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 1884 bar prices Ale - 1 penny Mild - 1 penny Gin - Tuppence That's yer lot
Ted Maul Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 The food/beer at the ground has been poor for years, and is made all the worse by the dodgy service. Wish they would sack the current deal off and get a proper company in. Good food and anything less than a 10 minute wait at HT is just a pipe dream at the minute.

Great deals on food to.

I really don't understand why people buy at all, and certainly don't understand it during the game. Most games kick off at 3.00pm so you certainly don't need to be out of your seat at 3.20pm buying an expensive, warm beer or scalding, flat pie. Have a few drinks and something to eat before the game, or bring a few snacks with you. Why is it that for approximately 2 hours people can't sit down and just watch the match?

It's way more conceivable that they don't bother to clean the lines properly, or at all.
adam Posted 20 August 2017 Posted 20 August 2017 You must be missing a brain cell or two to pay that. Get yourself over to the Blues Bar. Rip off City.
