Except for that pass James has well, broke up play a few times. We can't survive another half of that though.

So far so good. They've dominated but we expected that.

Positionally we have been truly excellent apart from 2-3 phases of play. Nice and compact and for the most part we have soaked up the pressure and forced a lot of long range efforts. 

 

Frustrating that James in particular is giving the ball away so much and we can't find any space on the ball. That may come in the second half as they press more forward.

We are paying these far too much respect. Making the game easier for them. Too powderpuff in tackles, playing about 5 metres too deep, and too scared to retain the ball.

Need some talking to and tactical changes after the break.

Fear that we'll see Rashford on for Martial at some point. Expect Shinji off on 60-65 mins for Ihanacho.

That was a decent half, how can people moan? We kept things reasonably tight and created a few half chances, with a few iffy moments to be expected. Coming in at 0-0 was probably the best we could've hoped for against an expansive United side.

Typical Leicester performance away at a top side. No possession, defending for our lives, no threat. Only odd thing is we've actually been solid enough.

Not pretty at times but we've restricted them to crossing it and shooting outside the box.

 

Hard working performance, James our best player IMO, closing down well and getting in their faces.

Good half that overall.

 

Few very good performances, a few with room for improvement.

 

It'll be interesting to see how long we can keep the game like this. United will keep flooding players forward and the opportunity for Vardy/Kelechi will be there on the break.

We desperately need to try and keep the ball a little. No way will we hold on in the second half if we keep giving it away every single time we get it. Saying that though a decent first half for us.

Positives: Maguire and Morgan are bullying Lukaku and riyad looks lovely.

 

Negatives: Shinji getting comprehensively beaten, vardy looks shagged.

 

Fancy slim or nacho on for vardy really.
