I'm not sure if this is unpopular or not, but I quite like that we have resident fans of other clubs here. I like their contributions, mostly, and I love that they feel comfortable here. Also it must show what a great place it is to be, even if we already know it.

Especially the Celtic fan we seem to have turned, even though I don't think they have admitted it yet

I don't mind them at all. There's a fair few fans on here who are knobs to these 'foreigners' though !!!

@TheBearis one I regularly see post. Been some knobhead posts directed towards him in the past though

Is the regular Watford fan still around? He was ok

I think they can add something to the conversation, especially when they are regulars here. Different set of eyes, detached view etc.

…, and that's only if I haven't stuffed myself silly with poppadoms and dips before it arrives

I’ve always wanted an actual unpopular opinion, and you’ve inspired me.

I’m not bothered about poppadoms. I’d never order them on my own, and wouldn’t miss them. They just make me full for the bit I really want to eat, and they’re not tasty enough to be worth the painful overstuffing.

Obviously I eat them when some geezer orders 4 each and smashes them in the middle of the table, but I’d rather have an actual starter, or a brinjal bhaji on the side than poppadoms to start.

I watched the series of Darkplace through once and thought it was absolutely terrible. Down the line, I found myself watching a repeat of it on Channel 4, the episode where Sanchez's other half turns into broccolli, and it was like something clicked. Revisited the series after and wept.

Never really got the Mighty Boosh though. One or two brilliant episodes but the rest felt like a Noel Fielding vanity project without an end.

You aren't eating them with the right dips. Mango chutney, lime pickle, onion salad...and the tamarind sauce (I think that's what it's called) is spectacular.

On their own, I agree, they're shit.

Do they still do Bombay Duck? A pleasure from the seventies that I haven’t seen for a while.

And the rice/naan argument?

Simple.

Garlic naan & keema rice.

If you don't agree, you're entitled to your opinion, but you're wrong.

Sicko.

Keema nan where possible. Always.

Other way round for me :)

I used to like the sweet naan (peschwari?)

Poppadoms are good with the dips or used to shovel curry into your gob, but I'd rather have a proper starter too instead.

Peshwari is the one with coconut almonds, sultanas etc in.

A 'hair product' thread lollollollollol Ffs.

The only hair product problem I have is that you can't buy "shampoo for greasy hair" anywhere now, because all the narcissistic marketing victims want to waste megabucks on sprays, mousses, clays etc.

Carbolic soap was good enough for my granddad and it's good enough for me.

But point that out to them and they'll throw their hairspray out of their Maddison-branded manbags and won't enjoy flouncing about admiring themselves in the mirror any more.

Honestly.....mods, casuals and disco boys, what a  bunch of puffed-up, pompadour-preening pillocks!

I think my 'hair treatment' at that age consisted of a combination of Castrol R and Patchouli oil.

My Dad told me that in his youth the more image-conscious young men would slick their hair up with butter. Must have got messy when they got a bit hot on the dancefloor or got into steamy clinches.

They are just a delivery mechanism for the stuff. You never get enough stuff though. Stuff is great.

MORE STUFF PLEASE.

Most vegetarian Indian food I have tried is much tastier than any dish with meat in. My dad is Indian (Hindu) and a majority of his family eat vegetarian food as they find it tastier.

When you are back in Leicester try a place called Mithaas on Narborough Rd you won’t be disappointed.

Mithaas is unreal, and a large part of my Leicester history. My favourite Indian food is veggie, and I’m not a vegetarian.  As for the rice v bread thing, it depends. I always have Dahl with bread, for example. Don’t know why, but it makes sense to me. Maybe as it’s scoopable? But I also make “home style” Indian curries that are quite thin - these make more sense with rice as the gravy soaks into the rice, which is great. Also prefer paratha and chapati to naan.

I like Indian food.

Dips or not they are not as nice as haggis pakora. Is that even available anywhere in Leicester?
