have you ever flirted with another team

I have to get something off my chest that has been haunting me for years. I have been supporting LCFC all my life mainly from afar (Australia, lately the Middle East, but with a spell in the UK (1999-2003)) but when I was a young'n I might of (there is no photographic evidence mind you) once (or twice) worn a Coventry strip.

It was in the mid 80's (87 to be precise) and straight after Coventry won the FA Cup. We were languishing near the bottom of the First Division. My best mate who was a Derby supporter (they were doing even worse than we were .. in the Second Division) decided to switch to Coventry after his Gran sent him an FA Cup wining shirt. I got my Gran to send me one and we would ride the streets of Adelaide in our Coventry shirts together.

But long story short thank god I saw the light.

Anyway my question is have you ever flirted, even briefly, with supporting another team other than LCFC?. Are you contemplating doings so now?

cheers

I had a brief affair with Valencia whilst living there but everyone knows if it's in a different country it isn't cheating. I always came home to my true beloved.

Became obsessed with football after italia 90 so was Lineker and Gazza mad which meant I shamefully had a brief declaration of love for Spurs, however my Dad bless him took me to see them vs Villa and neither played and I cried and made him take me home. That was the end of that and I went down the blue army and unfortunately been hooked ever since.

I blame all this on Lineker and Gazza.

I don't like Man City but watching them yesterday there was a bit of me that thought........ Wow

Then I remembered when I started supporting Leicester............. FA Cup 1969

We lost 1-0 to........... You guessed it...........Them.

And 48 years later I still can't forgive them

So I'll stick with the one and only club that is closest to my heart and stay on the Roller Coaster...... Thanks

That is truly shameful, it makes my teeth itch.  I don't care how young you were.  And Cov ffs!

I have never flirted with another team and never felt anything other than contempt for the sky blue scum.  The day they won the FA cup was a dark day as overnight they became a more successful club than us.  We have made up for it since thank God.

That cup final was also another reason to hate Spurs.  Let us down big time.

I have very vague recollections of cheering on Man Utd in a Champions League game on TV in the very early 90s. My dad told me off.

Then he took me to watch Leicester City lose to Liverpool at Filbert Street and I was hooked.

I probably would have been an arsenal fan if it wasn’t for my Dad showing me what’s right. I remember really liking one of their kits as a kid and Henry just amazed me.

I was born and brought up in Kettering, so used to support Kettering town. I loved the terraces at Rockingham Rd, and will never forget playing Plymouth Argyle in the first round proper of the FA Cup in '94, it was even on the TV and the whole town had a party, even though we lost.  But when I moved to Leicester for Uni I met my City supporting boyfriend, and went on that bus trip to Madrid, and was hooked from then on. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Been to Leeds twice this season, but only cos all my mates go and it's a good day out. It was a lovely reminder that I didn't give a shit about them when they missed a pen in the last minute yesterday lol . It is a proper football day out though at Elland Rd and I would like to see them in the prem, although there will be a lot more insufferable part timers in York come out the woodwork when that happens.

In england never. Only our beloved foxes. About 24 to 25 years strong now!

Seeing as i live in the toronto area getting to city games is a bit tough (unfortunately i dont have money like our owners). I will watch toronto fc matches here and there but cant day i love them like the foxes.

Never ever ever! Although I have a slight soft spot for Liverpool. But when it’s City v Liverpool there’s no doubting my love for the boys in blue.

I knew a few Florist fans when growing up, and thought about it.  Still at least I wasn't stuck in Maidstone - God knows who I would have supported down there...  (I must confess that for most of my life the Tigers (rugby) have been my first sporting love, with the Foxes second... Sorry.  (My Dad was more of a rugby fan, so...))

Only at primary school, when everyone supported Man Utd (of course, at a school in Leicestershire, back in '98)... I saw the light pretty quickly after that.
