who on earth would have agreed to that salary ???  I find it hard to accept that.

over the duration of the contract i think but he actually signed a 3 year deal

It is sad and id happily have kept him on as a coach, but going straight into managing a premier league club with no prior experience was never going to end well. Good luck Shakey.

if I was dyche or howe's agent, I would be banging on their chairman's door in the morning demanding a big rise !!

I've become almost ashamed to be a City fan. I ended up wanting Shakey out because I want to see us playing better football. But this club must have become a laughing stock to most other fans I suspect.

It needs change right through imo.

"The move has not been well received among senior players in the dressing room"

They need to realise they dont run the club

Any player thinking that can **** right off. Bin the w*nker and let him rot in the reserves.

I've been watching the Vardy academy programme and he refers to Shakespeare as "Shakey". This is a problem to me. Shakespeare had long relationships with these players, I couldn't imagine him distancing himself from the players.

We need someone who won't take any shit and will get rid of some of our PL winners.

i'm pretty gutted about this - but more on a personal level to Craig for everything he's done for the club, seems harsh and unfair bearing in mind the last few years and the journey we've been on

Alas though i do have to conceed that last night it appeared (to me) that he'd lost some of the dressing room.

Football nowadays is brutal and to be fair would have been to give Craig till the end of December

Fingers crossed we can make the right appointment now, we're due a bad one lol

Thank you very much Craig Shakespeare for everything you've done for Leicester City over the years, top man and i really hope that he can land on his feet somewhere else and show what he's got - he's obviously a good coach and i'd hate for this sacking to hurt him too much

Probably a shit yank article, coincidentally CR was on 3 million so they probably changed his name.

Cant see him being on less than a 3rd of what the old manager was on though.

I heard the owners walked in on a bust up between Shakey and Gray......the owners felt he lost the dressing room

Did see he was about to come on just before Mahrez scored, maybe wasn't very happy that Shakey changed his mind?

Dopey - two more games to make a judgement for me.the owners need to realise its Leicester not Man City a new manager will not see us rocket up the table with our/their financial clout we are about 8th at best.Anyome who thinks racing is a good investment is a gambler.

Thanks to Craig

Lovely, lovely guy and should be remembered as being a massive part of the ludicrously brilliant things the club achieved in the crazy couple of years.

In truth was massively out of his depth as a manager and its no real surprise, he will always be the loveable (brilliant) coach the players turn to to feel loved.

You think they don't have a right to be angry about having to find out through the national press that their boss had been sacked?

Our awful recruitment is as much to blame as Shakey for our performances this term. With the exception of Ndidi & Maguire have we improved the team over the last 3 or 4 windows? I think not.

He mayo be on this forum later.  But I'm siraching my head and thinking he didnt curry favour with some of the younger players who felt there cream was soured.

Maybe

but good managers get the best out of players, we seem to make ones that look good become shit
