"The move has not been well received among senior players in the dressing room"

They need to realise they dont run the club

This will be a big problem for the next manager. I think the player empowerment Pearson put in place was a huge factor in winning the league, but equally it could cause problems for anyone that comes in next. Let's say the new manager does want to change formation or mixup the team, it's going to be hard if the dressing room is against you.

It is a little earlier than I'd of liked......given the fixtures we've had he's not exactly had many games you'd consider 3 point bankers, if any, bar Brighton which we did get a win, hard on the road in the Prem and we never beat Pulis at the KP. Seems harsh to me,

Done now though I guess, what we are going to do now I do not know.

Well done to him though, he definitely had his moments.

On a totally unrelated note, Stringer made me laugh.

I'll miss him. Above all, he's a nice man. They're rare in football.

Yep, and aren't you the very embodiment of cast iron proof of that fact you massive swinging donkey dick.

The old guard can't go on forever.

New signings may have a voice now

Had to go.

You inherit the league champions from two seasons ago with a PFA player of the year still on the books, an England international striker, one of the top 5 keepers in the league and now an England CB and every game you set up negatively.

Player empowerment has lead to the following things:

- Older players focusing heavily on life after football

- First teamers allowed to live all over the country, hours of travel every day

- Senior players being allowed to have three day breaks half way across the world

Meanwhile... all our new signings including the ones who have faltered live in Leicester, showing commitment but getting no reward for it.

It's no wonder the squad is all over the place!

He's done it again!

I wish Lineker would just SHUT UP

He doesn't represent the voice of the majority of Leicester fans as he might seem to think.

Lineker's bang on:

This lays at the owner's door, not Shakeys.

Should have been Rudkin to go if anyone, that said it wasn't working with Shakey.

Strange timing too, do it before the international break or wait till after Saturday.

Tuchel, Rafa or Ancelotti for me, whoever we recruit will be a signal of how much ambition the owners have for the club, and I see it as a statement of intent.

Wow. Not the news I expected to see logging on to FoxesTalk this morning. I suppose this was somewhat inevitable given our recent form, but I cannot help but feel he was set up to fail.

Good we cant keep buying new players and have them unhappy on the bench because of past success 2 years ago

Rudkins needs to go as well imo, and a owner to player meeting needs to take place making it clear that the manager is in charge not them, if they act otherwise pay will be docked.

Now was the right time... yes I expect Shakey could have garnered some points in the coming games - but there was no sign that he could take us forward. He was way too cautious and the belief had gone from the players (Mahrez sounded suicidal on the radio last night - contrast that with Zaha before palace's game on Sunday.) He is a nice guy - so was Claudio... it is sad for them.  But we need to have someone who can shake things us - get some confidence and belief in to the players -  stand up to them too.... for me it is BIG SAM.  The owners have a flash side and may want ancholotti who sould be a disaster like sven.

Big Sam please.

They also need to be shipped out. It's clear when you've got this " senior group" of players any manager will have a problem. Vardy and Schmeichel in particular.

Yeah because now bum-chum Shakey is gone they'll lose their places because they're SHIT.

This bunch of players need to get a ****ing grip - heads in the clouds since the PL win, bunch of overpaid arseholes who think they run the show.

Time to get a badass manager to knock them down a peg or two.

Shit decision. What is he expected to do with the midfield we have. Sold our playmaker and ****ed up getting a new one in. Tough starting fixtures, but we should have had points from them.

It's not his fault Mahrez misses a sitter from 6 yards. It's not his fault Vardy misses a penalty and a 2 yard tap in. It's not his fault Simpson goes walkabout against pool. It's not his fault Kasper stands like a plank against free kicks.

People begged to get nacho and iborra in the starting 11. They got it. Neither nacho or iborra delivered, that's not shakey's fault.

We'll get a new manager in, he'll look at the midfield of King, Ndidi and iborra and laugh his ****ing head off.

Those players either need to learn how to play football or go **** themselves. Either way, they need to be shown they are being paid to play, not sulk and have opinions where they are not wanted.
