Matt Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Well fair play to the owners acting so quick, I thought we still have atleast another 3 weeks of this crap. I’d like to thank Shakespeare for the time he’s been here but he was so out his depth as a manager and this had to happen. It’s a shame he can’t go back to being coach, I’d love it if he could, but not sure he’d want to anyway. Lets cut the bullshit though, we had a tough start but I’m not even sure we can use that as an excuse, if you dissect it all we been pathetic and there are no room from excuses when you look deeper. It had to happen but my worry, a major concern is there aren’t too many inspiring choices out there. I’m clueless as to who’s coming in next.
Guy Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 A shame it didn't work out for Shakey of course who has been with us through mostly thick and very little thin since the meteoric rise from our lowest point in League One nearly a decade ago to being Premier League Champions! As others have said, the links are all gradually being lost ot our title win of two season ago now but that has been a bit of a monkey on our backs ever since the Trophy was incredibly lifted by Wes in May 2016 - as some of us thought it might become over time. With a third spell for Pearson apparently out of the question now then I'm hearing strong rumours of Allardyce being tempted back out of retirement. Can't see it personally but stranger things have happened of course - much stranger! As long as it's not Pardew, McLaren or Moyes - or any of the other usual suspects of a similar staid ilk!
Webbo Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 When you remember the clamour for him to be appointed after the Liverpool game and the moaning at the end of last season because because the owners hadn't made it permanent and then see it's mainly the same people who turned on him after just a couple of weeks. I had my doubts about him before he was given the job, promoted assistant managers rarely work out and I said so at the time but as soon as he was appointed I backed him and I would have given him the Swansea game at least.
suffolk fox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Just got in from work this has made my day. Credit the owners for making the correct decision the man was clearly out of his depth. I hope now we make the right decision and appoint someone who can take us forward and not submit to player power.
fuchsntf Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Crap descision, crap timing,..owners panicking... Unless!!! we have within 2wks a replacement. The owners liked the plaudits, and I am still with them, but if they Pss about again and show No leadership....there must also be questions!!! If replacement again as not been already set up or sniffed out, Then stupid descision for forthcoming games. Nothing wrong in sacking a man even if he came up with 3-4 unbeaten run. It seems now they doubted their own descision, which seems, quite poor because of the time to select him in the 1st place..... A big massive broom, is now needed.... Never boring is it...!!! Sky report NP...is not in line.

Get your ****ing arses in gear and start making decisions for yourself on the pitch. They gave us an incredible season and some memorable ones before that but this lot are getting on my nerves now.

So people can't change their decision based on actual evidence they see before their very own eyes? I wanted Shakespeare to be given a chance - he'd earnt it and appeared to have us playing well again. We came back from summer looking like a big stinking hot dog poo and continued to look like that up until last night. And I'm not allowed to change my opinion? k.
Lambert09 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Brendan Rodgers could be a good gamble, not sure we could even get him though

They seem to be learning on that front, their previous sackings took too long. Have they also learnt to sound out a new manager before the sacking tho?

Guest Col city fan Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Fook it now. A shake up (no pun intended) is sorely needed. This group of players needs breaking up once and for all
GingerrrFox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 This club is a disgrace. 4 of the first 8 games of the season were games you would never expect to win as a Leicester fan (Chelsea, Liverpool, United and Arsenal) and United aside we weren't destroyed in those games, in fact far from it. The other 4 games have been draws and again if you look at last night, if a free kick is on target against Kasper it's in and Riyad misses a sitter and that's what's turned the game. Apart from Bournemouth where we were terrible it's not been that bad. Shakeys been made a scapegoat for bad decisions from above him in the club. Silva was botched up; it should never have run that close to the transfer deadline. We've signed players that don't fit the way we have been playing or the mould of the squad. This club won the league and should have built from a position of strength however the ineptitude of people in a position of power has sent this club on a downward spiral.

Yep, totally agree. Remember when people said 'one day these lot will be gone and you'll miss the title winning squad!'. Tbh, I can't wait until most of them are shipped out now tbh. They've shown themselves to be incapable of handling fame / fortune and aren't hungry enough to want to win it again. They just wanted an easy life post-title - and they've had it at the expense of Shakespeare and most likely Ranieri as well.
Fox 4 Life Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I do love shakey but some of his decision making lately has been shocking. Need a win and on come Chilwell and King

Fking crap if we go 5-8 games with no plan and headless. Should of kept mum, got in a replacement...Then say goodbye. Poor management..again........Unless.
urban.spaceman Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Quote He was told that he had been relieved of duties with most of the first team players not in the training ground, following the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at the King Power stadium the previous night. The players were not informed by the club and found out of Shakespeare’s sacking when the story broke on the Daily Mail website. Shakespeare’s assistant Michael Appleton, the former Oxford United manager who joined in the summer, is still in place and is expected to take the team against Swansea on Saturday. The likelihood is that Shakespeare’s successor will come from outside the club, with suggestions that the Srivaddhanaprabha family, and owner Vichai, would like a big name such as Carlo Ancelotti. Telegraph.

Its not about the results only but also the performances. I gave him a free pass on the start and judged him on these 4 games brighton hudders bournemouth WBA all 4 games we played badly, brighton we got lucky as they were scared to attack us, bournemouth we got lucky they couldnt shoot in that game. We have regressed severely in our performances, there was no progress, so what would have waiting achieved considering we are regressing? You cant just give time just because it seems the right thing to do, there has to be logic behind it.

Been a great servant to the club, shame he has to go but I think the entire backroom staff need a shake up now. No more pals, no more buddies, no more hanging on to the memory of the PL win - we need a ruthless manager to come in a sort this bunch of overpaid bums the **** out. this. top post.

Matt Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I forgot to add to my post above that this sacking only makes sense, can be justified and worthwhile if Rudkin and co follow Shakespeare. Rudkin and co are major reasons towards our last 2 (maybe 3 )+ managers getting sacked, they are major reasons towards our failings and downfall. If they don’t go we may aswell not have sacked Shakespeare as nothing will change and whoever comes in next will struggle to do their job. It’s not just me who has these feelings, momentum is growing regards this area and as fans need to start making our feelings known about that area of the club because it’s not good enough, they are failing transfer window after transfer window after transfer window.
Fox 4 Life Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Just confirmed on OS. LCFC part company with Craig Shakespeare
