fazzyfox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Appleton to be caretaker manager? Start Well. Get offered the job. Wheels fall off. Sacked. Stowell becomes caretaker. Starts well. Gets offered job. Wheels fall off.............etc
HighPeakFox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Suggest you all stop believing rumours in the press, most will be speculation at best.

Dan Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 I think Lineker's full of crap on Twitter as much as anyone but he's got a point for me. Everyone calls the club a shambles, a joke etc... yet won't hold those at the top one bit accountable? People can't look objectively at our owners and it really baffles me.
EnglishOxide Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 If the players felt so strongly they would have been putting ****ing performances in. We've been nowhere near good enough this season regardless of tactics.
Molson Canadian Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 What sort of severance/buyout package is Shakey going to be getting now as a result of being sacked ? Also will any of the backroom staff leave now too ?
Tielemans63 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 For what it's worth, my thoughts: 1) Based purely on the football we're playing it's the right decision. Results haven't been disastrous but we've not made any progress since the initial bounce. 2) No doubt he's carried the can for some of the imbeciles (not the owners) who run the club. Shakey is the guy who is easiest to sack in terms of making a statement but there's little doubt the running of the club has deteriorated massively in the past few years. 3) Sacking CS at such an early juncture suggests to me that a replacement has been sounded out - at least I bloody hope so. If the recruitment process plays out like it did last time then see point 2).

I told people on here that you should never appoint the caretaker based on a few good results but the majority wanted him. I wanted Hodgson at the time but it's obviously too late to get him now. I am sooooo glad that you don't run the club.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 We're quickly becoming a laughing stock of a club,a shambles in the transfer market and now sacking a manager way too early, feel for Shakey, had a really tough set of fixtures.
norwichfox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Whilst it had to be done, I feel very sad that it has been done, and it's "here we go again" on the shit manager merry go round along with all the NP speculation. Good luck for the future Craig Shakespeare.
