The Liverpool and Arsenal games were closer but we're the only side Liverpool have beaten in two months and Arsenal always start slowly. When it came to the Arsenal match it was Shakespear who threw the game away. Nothing to do with the players.
foxfanazer Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Feel bad for him but it’s the right decision. Hope he goes on to do well but this job was too big too soon. The next appoint is a really important one. Hope they give it some real thought

Massive cock up appointing him in the first place. And a fvckin goalkeeper coach from Bristol City whispering sweet nothings in his ear

Smudge Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Promoted to obsolescence, great shame. Good luck Craig and thank you.
shailen Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Great coach. Major part of our success from 2012 onwards and although he wasn't a manager, I wish we could keep him at the club in some role. Wish him well for the future. Him and Pearson worked so well as the bad cop, good cop combo.

Appleton as caretaker makes me want to soil my knickers............actually saying that he will probably win 3 on the bounce and get given the job permo and 50m budget in january. I just said the same
Wdywd Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 If you came on here in May and we should get rid of him you would get pelters so enjoying the wise after the fact ness going on here
Babylon Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Just now, Bunyip said: When it came to the Arsenal match it was Shakespear who threw the game away. Nothing to do with the players. Yeah he asked them to not track their men at set pieces.

Let's hope this isn't the start of a manager merry go round like we had under Mandaric which ultimately led to our lowest 2 level finishes. Yeah, but it will brighten up this place! Just think people putting up polls and speculation running into the thousands, and Babylon having the last word.
TheMightySystem Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Remembering back to last night I think Shakespeare knew his job was on the line. Previously when we went behind he kind of stood there not being very active whereas last night he was shouting at the players till he was red in the face telling them to push up. While I do feel the players could have done better the manager also needs to drop those not performing. Playing Gray, Chilwell even maybe Thomas as a third midfielder, players who have something to prove, may have given us a bit more imputus in attack.
Hammo Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Lineker proving once again that he has no idea what the genuine Leicester City fan feels. Shakey deserved to get the job and he now deserves to be sacked. The owners (as with the Ranieri appointment and sacking) are spot on. They, like us, will not tolerate our team playing dreadful dysfunctional football.
Finn Claw II Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It was nice to give him a go but it clearly isn't working. It is also a fresh start from both the NP era and the CR era. onwards we march
Ric Flair Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 40 minutes ago, Babylon said: Good riddanace? More pathetic stuff from our fans about someone who has been a great servant to the club. Sad it didn't work out and he's been stitched up by Rudkin who I hope also goes. I'd have given him another couple of games, but the owners will have their ear to the ground at the club and things can't have been good for them to act so quickly. All the best Craig... now please god can we do some sodding research this time. Well said. I've been rude about him but more out of frustration and him being evidently out his depth. This is a false dawn though if Rudkin still keeps his job.
Merging Cultures Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It would be great to have a decent shake up now, fire some backroom staff and play more of the youth and players showing a bit of heart - get rid of some of the pre-madonnas.

Brooksy Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 We'll go for Ancelotti and end up with Appleton

Simi Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Imagine sitting there having Rudkin deliver you the news you're down the job centre.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Was always against it. Always said him becoming manager lost us a decent coach
