PintsandPyro Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Nigel Pearson will not be coming to Leicester City, just been on sky sports.

Shakey deserved to get the job and he now deserves to be sacked. The owners (as with the Ranieri appointment and sacking) are spot on. They, like us, will not tolerate our team playing dreadful dysfunctional football. Read his reply..........he is NOT talking about the owners.
David Hankey Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 No surprise in this news as far as I am concerned. Out of his depth as a manager. When you consider the fact that our owners decided to part with Ranieri who won the title for us how can this be a shock. Thank you and goodbye, Shakey!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 After watching that utter bollocks last night, I put this bet on. So happy about that. But after watching same utter bollocks at Bournemouth I nearly did the same bet but bottled it. 14/1 back then... Oh well

He was not good enough. We were dominated by all of our opposition apart from Brighton - we were very lucky not to lose at Huddersfield and Bournemouth. This is a guy who was with us in League one, helped to put a solid base in place and helped us to win the league. I'm not going to pretend that he always got his tactics right as a manager, but he was not helped by a transfer policy that has seen us fail to strengthen our first team. The Drinkwater fiasco typified it. To extract as much value as possible for Danny Drinkwater, they took it to the wire. The upshot of this was that we didn't get Silva in time.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 He didn't give himself the job. Sack the clown who did
GloverFox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Not really surprised, feel for the guy but results count. I just hope Top already has a top-flight name in the frame and budgets for changes with a ‘new broom and fresh sweep’ coming in!
sk3since03 Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Right call by the owners! Thanks Shakey for your time, much appreciated, but just not got what it takes i’m afraid
Finnegan Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Sad for him it didn't work out but a club that had just won the league, spent millions on players and got to the quarter finals of the Champions League should never have been seriously considering giving an assistant manager with zero management experience the big job anyway.

winteriscoming Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 The right thing to do. Hes not a manager and he lived in more hope than his own judgement. I just hope we look further afield than the standard brits and look abroad. Paulo bento Markus weinzerl Laurent blanc Roger schmit
ultrafox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 He's done it again! I wish Lineker would just SHUT UP He doesn't represent the voice of the majority of Leicester fans as he might seem to think.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Who fancies breaking it to Micheal Appleton?

We've got to move forward and if that's to sack him then so be it. Don't care how long he's been here. He hasn't been good enough to be our manager.
steveherbe Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Theres only one choice, the dream team. Nigel Pearson, with Was and CAMBIASSO as assistants. Please make it happen, come home Nige, we all love you.
MC Prussian Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 This is why I‘ve grown to hate a certain aspect of football. Short-sighted decision after short-sighted decision at our club. Transfer window a bit of a mess, and so is the managerial situation. Sadly, impatience rules. I‘d have given Shakespeare until Christmas, but the football on show was mostly dire and his substitution policy bordering on a farce more like it. Not just his fault, the players are also to blame. Looked mostly disinterested and unmotivated. Now can we please have some consistency under the new manager and not sack every new one after four months (or less)!

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Everything to do with Pearson has now gone. We've made the leap and now we're in the wilderness on our own. I just hope that the people who talk shit about him constantly were right otherwise we're down in the next two seasons.
Joefox Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 It’s great that our owners have a pair of balls and make decisions in the interests of the club. I applaud them again. Bit hear come the inevitable ‘joke club’ remarks from everyone in the media including our very own Gary Linekar calling us inept I see already. Give everyone a week or so to calm down take a time out and realise that this was also the correct decision.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 17 October 2017 Posted 17 October 2017 Push him back to assistant and bring back nige!!!!!!!!

I see maybe having 1 or 2 more points but no improvement to playing style or progression of it Silva could have been the means to change the set up. We'll never know.
