Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Thought Kasper dealt with corners brilliantly, considering he had a huge lump of lard on the goal line.
Great Boos Up Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Just ordered a clean sheet pizza. Really!

Gave the ball away too often, even when we were playing well in the first half. A liability, IMO. I thought he played well considering he's not a winger. Worked hard but looked jaded in the second half.

Surprised Albrighton didn't come on earlier. Thiery Henri said he had a good game, didn't see it myself. Wasn't sure if it was just me.
Farrington fox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 I can’t make my mind up about Chilwell, I feel he’s got great potential, and looks like he’ll progress to become a top player. But right now I question his defensive qualities and distribution. But that will all come with experience you’d hope.

This. Saw him sat far further forward today than usual and he seemed comfortable, then seeing him slotting in to a back 3 whenever Fuchs went forward or when Morgan somehow ended up in Evertons final third, he's an intelligent player and deserves his place. Let's hope puel can tighten his game up to be more comfortable on the ball.
foxes67 Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 I agree think Kasper could of caught a couple of those punches but the 1 good thing hes cut a lot of the hoof the ball to their defenders out, i like the idea where possible to throw out to the full backs and build from there.

Kendal Fox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Think the thing to remember is that whilst we made it difficult for ourselves throughout the 2nd half, we ultimately kept a clean sheet and looked good for the most part in that area for the first time in ages. That combined with the nerves that go with a new manager's first (home) game in charge is something to remember. Before kick off I was thinking it might be one of those awful, anti-climatic draws - New man in charge with a polarised set of fans, another team needing to win after firing their own manager and spending massively in the summer yet dropping into the relegation zone, etc, etc... But no, we got the 3 points which is the main thing! Taking a step back it was still a very satisfying way to mark the start of Puel's appointment with us and could have been a lot, lot worse. We hit the ground running really.
Leamington Fox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Thierry Henry always comes across as quite pro-Leicester when I hear his punditry. He's a class act all round.

Be interesting to see how Albrighton fairs under Puel Albrighton all day for me.
fuchsntf Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Against Stoke, I would start the same 11... My subs might be a bit earlier, but it will be a different pattern to the game. Wes Morgan, I have questioned you this past 9 months, Today you had one of your best games in 2 seasons, bloody marvellous performance. I want to see if Chilwell could develope in that new position, I wont write you of yet, some good touches and moves, but also a couple of unsteady moments. Gray...Its now about finding consistency, and yes you and Mahrez can play together...A couple of times you got in each others way but that can be ironed out, with gametime together... Vardy-Mahrez, you still have it as a pair... Iborra -Ndidi, your are both PL level, we still need that 3rd midfielder, but its a start. Puel-Appleton-new 3rd man...good start...Now it gets harder...Consistency is the target... The rest gravy..
tsintskaro Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Glad to see Gray in action,he should be starter, bye bye Albrighton funny when there are 4 striker on bench,2 of them costed 60milion,Ulloa wanted to leave and club did mot let him, thats more funny that 4-2-3-1 was what i was expecting to see in last season already go Claude
kyleolly Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Are we all behind the new manager now, top 6 anybody?

Possibly try Gray as a CAM and move Mahrez to RW, but i suppose both can interchange during a game. Sadly Ulloa has no role here and i expect 2 of our strikers to leave by next summer.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 My highlight was seeing Rooney trying to catch up with Mahrez when Gray was on the break for our first, looking like someone had stolen his lunch and he wanted it back.
iamafox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 We thoroughly deserved the win. I have to give Puel credit for getting the team selection right today.

Danny Simpson is one of the best defenders in the league. No ****ing joke. 2017 and that is a true statement. He doesn't offer much else, but at defending, there are few better.
brookfox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Have to say I was (not!) disappointed in Gueye. Was expecting to see Kanta mk2, not a short shit Ndidi!
Kendal Fox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 "When Vardy looks happy and plays with freedom, Leicester look like a top half of the table team!..." Wow! Phil Neville on MOTD 2 making up for all the crap he's talked about us in the past.

We were far improved and you could see the simple changes working well. If this is only the start of Puels improvement, long may it continue. Yeah, I thought we sensed Everton was toothless, and Puel was confident they couldn't crack us twice, so we sort of played out the string. Like any good manager, he didn't want to show too much his first game, when his new approach worked immediately, he was able to dial back his 2H plans, I suspect.
