baldeagle Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Nice to get a clean sheet and not give away any sloppy goals for a change
RowlattsFox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Professional performance. Very much like our title win, gets ourselves in front and then manage the game.

That was a good home win and the job was completed in the second half. Delighted for Puel to get a first win and hopefully shut a few negative people up who weren't even going to give the guy a chance! BLUE ARMY! Exactly, the tempo was always going to drop in the 2nd half when we were 2-0 up....But we kept a clean sheet and took away a needed 3 points. Entertaining game for me and lovely to see a different starting 11. Good subs and used at the right time. Gray smiling and the team overall coming off the pitch with a much needed confidence boost.
The Doctor Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Thierry Henry speaking sacrilege according to our critics: "Possession is pointless if you just pass it side to side". Good to see a pundit who gets it
Loves2spooge Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Good game from everyone , fighting spirit is back , Gray learned to pass and that got him a place in my heart I wouldn't rejoice just yet , I'm gonna give it 3 more games before I'll say my final judgment about this new leicester enjoyed the first half , not really the second one Everton were eager to score but they're still 18th in the league and without a manager , we should've done more many many wasted occasions , I'm lookin' at you Vardy - Ibora while I think the subs were good , I would've preferred to keep mahrez and get chilwell out , Maybe rest gray , he's had 2 games this week I think we should've went with a new formation at the 60' , Probably bring in Ihenacho or Slimani for Vardy , since he had trouble advancing and was triple marked but that's just me , Congrats to us , Hope we'll keep up , can't wait to obliterate Man City in the Carabao cup BTW MAHREZ now has more assists (4) than the whole last season (3)
Sampson Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Great stuff! Gray and Morgan both outstanding. First goal will take some beating for goal of the season.
trabuch Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 I really hope Gray carries that form on against Stoke. Gray, Mahrez and Vardy are a force to be reckoned with.

foxfanazer Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Over the moon with that. Looked organised, energetic and created chances. Gray took his chance which was brilliant to see. Not sure having Vardy as the lone striker will always work but he did well today. Congratulation Puel on a brave and correct starting lineup and game plan. More of the same next week please. For the first time this season I’m looking up the table rather than down. COYB!!

Captain... Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 First half was close to perfection, we passed the ball well, resisted the urge to hit it aimlessly long to Vardy, and just starved Everton of any meaningful possession whilst creating chances ourselves. Gray's break for the first goal was amazing and apart from Lennon getting the better of Fuchs a few times we didn't look like conceding. Second was pragmatic, professional and painful to watch but we got the 3 points. Everton's changes won them the midfield battle second half but they are so poor up too and didn't trouble Kasper all game. Shame we couldn't have killed the game off second half and bagged a couple more, but all in all a good day

Can you do the same on every thread please as I can’t be arsed to post, and I’ll give you a ‘Thanks’ every time.

Jonezy Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Solid win with the big moments going our way for once. I am also very much in the 'let us not talk about the 2nd half' camp...;)
foxfanazer Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 In some ways I was just as pleased with the second half as I was the first. I never felt like we were going to concede despite being so deep. I also thought Wes was done at this level but he was superb today. Nice to see us take some pride in our defending

Kitchandro Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 First goal was beautiful. That's the Leicester I love.
fazzyfox Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Between us and the established top 6 are the mighty Burnley (seem to have found a formula, hard to beat), Newcastle (still not sure about them yet), Watford (Have looked very good at times) and as expected around that part of the table Southampton. I still believe we have nothing to fear from any of them and 8th or now 7th if Everton continue to struggle is there for the taking, I'd say Watford are the most serious contender but this mini-league is one we should aim to top.
Mark Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Gray looked fantastic throughout but Mahrez has a lot to learn if he’s to play that role behind the striker, he’s never looked comfortable there previously and today was the same he wasn’t involved much and had a lot less opportunities to run with the ball. Wasn’t impressed coming off either, thought he’d take Chilwell off and put Mahrez back on the wing but didn’t.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Great performance today, delighted with how we played. Could anyone work out what kind of formation we were playing first half? When we didn't have the ball it looked like Fuchs tucked in as a centre back, but when we did he almost became a wing back.
justfoxes Posted 29 October 2017 Posted 29 October 2017 Can’t believe how much Everton have spent in the summer makes you think how many of those signings were Koeman rather than Walshy’s bet Kenwright didn’t think they would be misfiring this much when he signed those cheques ? Thought we played well first half kept them at bay hit them on the break Gray’s run to set up Mahrez cross for Vardy to score was nothing short of Sublime and he really deserved that goal too he made their defence scared sh:;less when he ran at them a great thing to see !! Second half thought we sat back a bit much and allowed them to come at us after they had changed things round in Midfield !! But all in all tho a great display and 3 more points sees us climbing the table up to Stoke next weekend may the Puel Revolution continue to bring us the spoils !!
