Danny Simpson standing on Wes Morgan's toes to get as far away from having to mark Leroy Sane as possible.

That was insane. Especialy on the counter that lead to their 2nd. Couldn't believe how Simpson tucked in and did everything possible to give Sané as much time and space he needed.

Persisting in a centre half because he's young, English and had two good games at the start of the season when there's a better centre half on the bench.

Who? Dragovic?

I mean Maguire has been a bit dodgy at times but hardly a disaster.

99% of our throw ins are crap. We might just as well give the opposition the ball directly which we do a lot  anyway. Do they ever practice them?

Honestly I thought I was the only person who noticed this. I have pointed this out to people before but no one seems to have picked up on this. This had been going on for years.

This worked well and I don't know why we stopped. It winds my up when we bring everyone back to defend corners especially when we are losing. So negative!

We have scored numerous goals from counter attacks over the past 3 seasons from opposition corners/free kicks when we bring everyone back, so this argument really doesn't work.

Us leaving 3 up would mean they leave 3/4 back, and would give us less room to break at pace as our attacking players are already up there, and them defensively being set up well for the counter. Look at the Vardy goal against Everton 2 weeks ago, we broke from deep with everybody back, they committed loads up thinking they have nobody to worry about up top. Boom 20 seconds later gooal.

As well it actually makes defending set pieces easier. The more bodies in the box the less likely somebody is to have a free run and header at goal due to the traffic in the box. There is a reason that pretty much everybody in the world does it.

Aren't we top of the goals scored from corners league, well we were 2 weeks ago. Surprising I know but Maguire and Iborra seem to be making a difference.

I did know that but typically corners have a really low conversion rate :)

Buying Hull's first team goalkeeper as a backup to Schmeichel, but then putting someone who is only at the club for his banter on the bench ahead of him.

Invest lots of money in youth academy - give older or no longer required players new contracts meaning youth have even harder time breaking into the squad.

Hamer is deemed better than Jakupovic!

I agree the youth deserve a chance, be interesting to see what happens with Barnes.

Inviting Cambiasso back after all this time. Okay, he wasn't a bad player, a bit over the hill but for God's sake he only played 31 games for Club.

I can think of many more deserving players if this idolization is really necessary.

It's akways nice to see an ild face.  Having him visit didnt rank order the popularity of our old players.

I for one really enjoyed watching cambiaso play for us and the great escape.

Lets welcome him

Worth a go if it confuses the opposition...

Dont know what happened with Hamer then. He lasted about 5 games at Bristol City before being sent back for being shit. If he has improved then good for him, just makes you wonder why we brought Jakupovic in again, as we have some promising keepers apparently.

Baffled by this attitude to be honest.

Yeah, he was only here for 1 season and 33 games. But he arrived here a superstar in his own right after a decade at Inter Milan and Real Madrid before that, plus his international career, to come to a newly promoted side for an inevitable relegation fight. That showed a lot of character and he quickly became a fan favourite for it. Plus, he clearly fell in love with the club and fans, and got a great reaction from the crowd when he came out.

He was available this weekend and the club asked him to come - can't see any problem whatsoever.

The most decorated Argentinian footballer in all of history? Scored one of the greatest ever world cup goals for Argentina? Passionate, dedicated and ludicrously silky with his positioning and world class passing ability.

And yeah.... All that was before he joined Leicester City and was the only player prior to the West Ham game who believed we would stay up (find the mercury interview).

Then there's the equaliser against Manure, and the opening goal in that West Ham game days after he did say we would stay up which sounded foolish to most at the time.

A leader not in the sense of leading the other players, but galvanising the fans with his quality, passion and honesty.

Yeah I agree, we should invite Dennis Wise back instead when he's out the jungle.

On the throw in , Fuchs throw in was sh*t to Harry and was IMO the right choice done wrong , he keeps bombing in these throw ins but with no return .

Thats like saying ,Let stop the crosses and attacking football  because majority fail.

Its just another rescource to get the ball in the danger area.It helps with extra pressure.

Unfortunately in football, there are the opposing defences....lets get rid of them...:D

they are so annoying..

Playing the 'Post Horn Gallop' prior to each game - a theme associated with the hunt, when your mascot is a bloke dressed as a fox.

We should poach Sammy Saint, that beagle from Southampton to ritually slaughter Filbert each week as part of the pre-match build up. Either that or line him up as a replacement for Puel.

The Post Horn Gallop was played to signal the arrival of the post hence it's name. Not hunting

I miss the "Funny Things Schlupp Does" thread.

Come home Jeff.

Yep. That spell when we came back up where he'd accidentally headbutt and knockout an opponent every week. Or West ham at home where cambiasso had to chase him and tell him he wasn't being subbed, West hams #15 was the one coming off.
