But, to be fair, Leicester have got a much stronger squad than ours. You can't really compare the likes of Shane Long, Steven Davis, James Ward-Prowse and Fraser Forster to Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, Demarai Gray and Kaspar Schmeichel. We simply haven't got a rich owner prepared to pay for players of that calibre." I wonder if he knows that Demarai Gray was the most expensive of those players at around £4m This one's on me. I'll expect a beer for the next one. 1 1

SuperMike Posted 11 December 2017 Posted 11 December 2017 We've conceded goals to two of the worst players in the Premier League (Kouyaté and Joselu) in recent matches. Let's just hope Shane Long isn't playing for The Saints!!!!
Pasty1 Posted 11 December 2017 Posted 11 December 2017 Southampton very strong against Arsenal... 1-1 would o and win at Palace...
Gerard Posted 11 December 2017 Posted 11 December 2017 Does Sportsmania still show all PL games? I'll resubscribe if they do.

We play the early game on Saturday and then Tuesday again. I don't think the rest argument makes too much of a difference.

Well rotation will be needed eventually, but 3/4 days is normally just about enough rest, so I wouldn't expect mass changes for this game. Probably will see changes for Palace, depending on how they perform.

NewEnglandFox Posted 11 December 2017 Posted 11 December 2017 Still winless from 6 trips to the south coast since promotion. 3 trips to Bournemouth. 3 trip to Southampton.

Other than Gray, they are all on at least 100k a week and I think he’s just signed a new contract hasn’t he?

I was thinking that we never play well when travelling to the south coast! I'll be impressed if we come away with a win from this game.

Foxxed Posted 12 December 2017 Posted 12 December 2017 Providing we play Gray, Mahrez and Vardy we'll have plenty of scoring opportunities. But our defence has let in soft goals: and Long and Austin will be the most dangerous attack we've faced in a while.
lancyclaret Posted 12 December 2017 Posted 12 December 2017 (edited) If Burnley can win 1-0 at Southampton, I am sure the Foxes should win also. Just got to keep a close watch on Claret-reject Charlie Austin. Edited 12 December 2017 by lancyclaret 1
CosbehFox Posted 12 December 2017 Posted 12 December 2017 Sooner or later we going to begin rotating and have to change it up a bit. So it's going to be one of these two fixtures where we do that - interested to see which one Claude prioritises.

Obviously just a few top earners and not the whole squad.
BenTheFox Posted 12 December 2017 Posted 12 December 2017 This will be a very tough game. I think come the end of the season both sides will be in the top half. Would be happy with a draw from this one.
surrifox Posted 12 December 2017 Posted 12 December 2017 We're always poor on the S Coast -end of our run 1-0
ARTY_FOX Posted 12 December 2017 Posted 12 December 2017 Christ they're sensitive about van dijk aren't they... I can't see Vardy injuring anyone on purpose. Especially not slyly. He isn't exactly the subtle type.
